Who knew paddle boarding would be so expensive?!

The list: stand up paddle board, life jacket, bungee cords, dolly, carry straps, lock, waterproof sunscreen, hat, cover-up, 3 new bathing suits, waterproof watch, whistle, new phone (airtight container was not airtight), waterproof cellphone bag and watertight box. I refuse to add it all up.

I guess I am missing your point. You want to take up paddle boarding but is too expensive for your budget? Or you just are just informing me and others it is not a cheap sport?

As my "nic" suggests, hockey is my sport and not cheap. And also have to pay $3.00 per MINUTE for ice time. I am assuming water usage for paddle boarding is not $3 per minute, no?

My son got one last year and he and his kids really enjoy it. Thankfully, they're too young yet to want or need some of the accessories, lol!

No point. I just thought it was funny. I'm kind of a shopaholic. All the money has been worth it though, because I love it. (And I guess the water is free since I live on the river. Well, technically I do pay rent.)

I won a $1500 paddle board outfit in a raffle last year thinking how much I would enjoy doing yoga on the board. To my great dismay, it was too long to transport comfortably in my 4WD pickup. I wound up giving it to friends who live on a lake who have three kidlets. I use whenever I want, and they use it ALL the time. Perfect world!
