Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide with water in a spray bottle. After showering, spray nails, being sure to spray under the nail at the top. Let dry thoroughly before putting on socks / shoes.

This will dry your skin, so I make sure I moisturize after the toes are completely dry.

I had used prescription nail fungus medication and it took forever and a day and very little progress toward having healthy nails. I have used this mixtures for about two weeks and progress toward eradicating the fungus is very noticeable.

I hope this works for you.

I battled toe nail fungus on one toe (on and off) for a few years. I found many of these home remedies worked initially but they never got rid of it completely. (it would reappear within a short time) I've now been fungus free for 2 years. I simply gave up trying to treat it. (my nail was never deformed, just a bit white/yellow in the corner)

I hope your improvement continues until it is gone.

I used distilled white vinegar and it worked great. That was some 10+ years ago and it never came back. Just put a drop or two at the nail bed twice a day (be consistent about this!) and it grows out clean. It's not an overnight remedy, but then that would be an impossibility.

When I had it happen I researched online and found this remedy. I read all kinds of complaints about getting rx meds and them not working AND being expensive. This is an extremely inexpensive solution AND it works.

Could I ask a question, please. How does one get a nail fungus? I have been practicing yoga for a year and wonder about how sanitary it is to walk around barefoot...can you develop warts or get a fungus if the floor is dry? So far I have not had any problems.

I am so glad this works for you wismiss. Thank you for sharing!

Vicks Vaporub. Just dab a small amount with a q-tip under, on and around the nail bed at the first sign of white or yellow discoloration. Works like a charm. I have to do it about every 2 to 3 months.

My friend got hers from having a pedicure and the tools not being sanitary. So, there are a lot of ways to get one. Also, if it isn't taken care of, it can lead to athletes' feet. Mayo's site also said that if you get one cleared, it is not unusual to have a reoccurence.

I used those cheap slip on sandals from Wal-Mart when I went to the Y for swimming classes. Does your yoga room floor get disinfected after every class? I would privately discuss your concern with your instructor. I can't imagine that you are the only one that has wondered about this.

I use vicks vaporub on my horse's hooves to discourage fungal growth. At this time of year, the pasture is muddy and wet due to snow melt. This isn't a good thing for hoof health and I like to stay ahead of the battle.

I recently developed this and never knew how incredibly painful it is!!!

After a cruise in December when we were in the hot tub it got me thinking, could it have been when I got my pedi in November? But then why is only one toe affected (thank God ONLY one toe!) or was it from the community hot tub onboard the ship? Again, why only one toe??? Absolutely no idea. All I know is that my toenail was hurting for a good month before I took a good look and found the blackened layer between my nail and the nail bed.

I figured it's moisture, otherwise there would be no fungus. So after showering I drop a drip (?) of alcohol between the nail and the bed (this is after using a blowdryer to dry the toes well) and let the alcohol dry. During the day I'll let a drip of Listerine (the good old amber colored one) again between the nail and the bed. I had a nail tech tell me eons ago that if I ever get fungus to use Listerine. After only a day or two the black layer was about 90% gone and hardly any pain anymore. You can barely tell I have it. However it does appear that the distal half of my nail is no longer adhered to the nail bed. I'm confident it'll grow out fully adhered, though.

Best of luck to all of us!!

My husband has nail fungus on all of his toes, I found a natural remedy and it's half Listerine mouth wash and half white vinegar. I put the mixture in a spray bottle and he sprays his toenails every night after his bath. My husband has also been taking a supplement from Andrew Lessman called Healthy Skin and Nails. I would say in 4 months the fungus is gone on all the nails except the big toes.

I have used Vicks Vaporub to clear my toenails. I was having trouble with my Big toes not totally clearing, but read on Pintrest to be sure to rub it down the toe past the first joint. I realized I did this with my little toes automatically, since the knuckle is so close to the nail. That seemed to work for me!

Don't forget to file the top of the nail, rough it up a bit, so any medication can penetrate the entire nail. Not just the end of the nail, but the entire surface of the nail.

I saw the information on tv but don't know much more than that. Just an FYI for those that might want to try it.

I know Jublia is one I've seen advertised lately. The other I'm not aware of. I know Jublia is quite expensive, too. I'm having good luck with my alcohol/Listerine usage.

Just looked it up, the other is called Kerydin. I would think insurance covers it though but I don't know. I don't have nail fungus but I do know that it is a problem for many.

I was having trouble with my Big toes not totally clearing, but read on Pintrest to be sure to rub it down the toe past the first joint. I realized I did this with my little toes automatically, since the knuckle is so close to the nail. That seemed to work for me!

Doctor gave me some stuff that didn't work ... but she suggested I try some home remedies that her patients have suggested.

Vicks worked for me. Just a few days.
