I also use Elta MD -- the 41 spf for the face. It's tinted and replaces foundation for me.

I prefer a chemical free (physical) spf and my favorite is Elta MD UV Pure Broad Spectrum SPF 47. I use it on both face and body. Check out all of the physical EltaMD spf products. They are all great!!

I use Elta MD for the Face too! There's no fragrance and it goes on much like a moisturizer. I also like Peter Thomas Roth's powder sunscreen for the face. For the body, I use Elta too.

Hi. Blue Lizard is a great brand that was recommended to me years ago by my Derm. Physical sunscreen. Comes in different formulations. For daily use in face, SkinCeuticals Sheer Fusion is great (50 spf).

I really think there's no point in an SPF under 30. I have a lot of bad reactions to many physical sunscreens and can't use any with high levels of zinc on my face. My favorite sunscreens for my face are Clarins UV Plus HP and Aveeno Purely Radiant Moisturizer in SPF 30. The Aveeno also comes in 15, but I prefer 30. I also use those on any part of my chest that is exposed to the sun. A lot of sunscreens make me sweat, break out, or just feel terrible, but those two always work well for me. I also apply them to my ears and the part in my hair if I know I'm going to be standing out in the sun.

I'm much less picky about the rest of my skin because I don't have the same adverse reactions and my arms forearms don't sweat the way my face does.

I use Devita Solar Body Moisturizer year round as I live at the beach. Even though it didn't even make it to 70* today, the sun is still strong. I worked on the yards today and by noon time my long sleeve shirt came off and I had a tank on underneath.

I keep a 7 oz tube in my handbag too so when I'm driving, riding or walking out and about, I don't get burnt.

It's spf 30+ and it's a physical sunscreen full of good antioxidant ingredients. VERY gentle, really does moisturize also, and doesn't leave a white cast at ALL. It's 19% zinc oxide.

I use it on my face, if I'm not going to wear makeup. Otherwise I wear Suzanne Organics face sunscreen, it's tinted (rather dark, I mix it with Suzanne Organics Fair foundation to lighten it up in the winter months.)

I love the Devita though and the fact that it doesn't come in a one oz jar/tube. How much you put on is as important as even wearing sun protection, IMHO.

SPF 15 is not enough protection. You should be using at least 30+--every day/rain or shine. Put it on before your makeup if you're really interested in anti-aging. I'm liking EltaMD 51+ tinted sunscreen. It's not greasy, stays on all day, and is just tinted enough for almost a flawless look. Clean and protect are the key words for helping your skin stay younger looking longer. And forget makeup with SPF. It's not enough. You need to apply sunscreen by itself.
