I went to two orthopedic doctors and both said I need tendon replacement surgery. The one said I would be pretty much not doing anything for 6 weeks and then in a boot for 6 more weeks. He said I could even be running in 3 months which I was shocked about.</P> <P>The second doctor made it sound more severe and that I would be out of commission for up to 6 months. I am holding off having this done over the summer if possible. I am in little pain during the day except for when I wake up in the night/or morning and first move. I am 42 and shocked this has happened as it is not that common for my age is what both doctors said. I've had super flat feet all of my life. </P> <P> I've have partially torn tendons and was hoping that surgery was not needed but that may indeed be the case. I am thankful they are not completely torn right now. </P> <P>I would appreciate any feedback you have and experiences. The doctors said the success rate is around 80-85%.
