topic Have you ever had Acupuncture? in Wellness

In one of my other posts, I explained that my TKR keeps getting postponed due to having an infection of one kind or another, for the past two years.

Jane R suggested that I looked into acupuncture for pain relief until I can have my surgery. I have some questions.

How do I find an acupuncturist? (Nobody I know has ever had it done.)

Is there just one kind of acupuncture and if more than one, how do you determine which type is the right one for your pain?

Should the acupuncturist have a certain background, qualifications, licensure, or what do you look for as far as finding a qualified one?

If you can give me any other information, thank you.

TIA.
