I used to walk about 4 miles 5X/week, but now at 66 two knee replacements and arthritis in my ankles keep me from that routine. Instead, I go to an indoor, heated pool several days a week and swim, do water exercise, and walk laps there. I really enjoy water exercise and the good friends I've made there. It's a social occasion as well as a physical workout. And being in the water always makes me feel renewed and relaxed. Sort of a therapy session!

I have a Jawbone UP. My goal is 12000 steps a day. I sometimes do more, and I sometimes do only 9,000 or 10,000--rarely less than that. Once I walked 21000 steps while I was in Chicago, but that was a high for me. I'm usually around 12,500.

When I'm being "good" (lol), I walk 4 miles a day around a local lake. I don't ever time myself, but I would guess it takes between 30-45 minutes.

This depends on whether I'm walking alone or with a friend. I think it takes longer when I walk with my friend who likes to use the time to talk more so than work up a light sweat or finish quickly.

The Yorkie gets tired so I carry her and I walk the other two. I have a walking buddy my 13 year old daughter Libby who is my extra pair of hands. In the afternoon if I am home I take all three to the doggy park. It is all hills so I walk with them as they play off leash I love to walk. All three are rescues and we love them dearly.

How far & how long I (power) walk varies a lot. How close I am to my Fitbit goal does factor into it at times but I often am having such a good time that I just keep going!

I don't have a set amount of time but I may walk anywhere from about 30 minutes to over an hour and a half on occasion. Where I walk also varies. I live in a great area for walking so I just take off & see where my feet take me.
