Thanks for posting the TS. I'll be ordering direct from Procaps if I need it, after checking inventory.

They sure don't answer email...Anyone know the answer to my email, quoted below? I've asked about this twice so far. - Bird

"I was listenting to Dr. Steven Masley, M.D. and he said that magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed, a terrible gastro-intestinal irritant, makes people feel sick, and is the kind of magnesium we should avoid. He said that magnesium bound with protein is best, and that the maleate, glycenate, citrate (at the very least) forms are better than the oxide form.

You put magnesium oxide in your multivitamins. Can you please explain why you don’t use a better form?"

I too had read that one type of magnesium was more effective than another but have found that not to be the case. I take 1200mg of magnesium oxide daily (not Andrew's because I'd have to take too many at 200mg each) to keep my heartbeat regular and have no problems with it.

Thanks, Nightowlz. I was wondering when he would be back.

The Bird, I believe Andrew has discussed his reasoning about magnesium oxide on air before & you might find that in his blog somewhere.

I have researched magnesium a great deal & found that liquid ionic magnesium & magnesium oil are the two forms that are absorbed best. I actually get real, noticeable results (like more energy, etc) when using them. I highly recommend doing some searches on both forms I mentioned. You will find information from reputable sources.

On 9/13/2014 F1wild said:
I've been taking Mag-Oxide for years without a single problem.

It doesn't seem to bother me either, but Dr. Masley comments about the absorption were pretty strong. That's why I'm wondering about it. - Bird

You will find information from reputable sources.

Thanks willdob3. I have probably heard Andrew's reasoning on using the oxide form, but just don't remember! Maybe I should be taking Brain and Memory. I do know that for now, I will take your recommendation on one of the other forms. Thanks again, - Bird

ETA: Just to clarify, I put my money on AL vitamins. The best I can buy and I give them to my loved ones. So, nit-picking on a product on which I am already sold is the natural progression. Change this, change that, add this, less of that.
