topic Fitbit Flex Charging Problem in Wellness

Hi. Having difficulty charging up my Fitbit flex.. Although still able to charge after much jiggling of cord, will only be a matter of time before this won't work . We have two separate units and neither one just plugs in and start to charge without 2-3 minutes of manipulation and reconnecting. Has anyone else had this problem or any easy way of charging them? I don't use computer to charge, but plug into adaptor to electrical outlet. It is not bad enough to send back, but know that is probably what I will end up doing at some point. Thanks in advance, Susi

I was having problems with my fitbit one every time it needed charging. I tried putting a piece of paper (I use half of an address label) on the back of the fitbit and push it into the charger. It charges up very quickly. Guess it wasn't making contact inside the charging cable. Works for me. Good luck.

Anytime my flex won't charge or hold the charge for long I do a reset. To reset it, plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer while your computer is on. Put the flex device in the dongle. Look on the back of the dongle and find the tiny hole. Insert a small, firm, metal stick, like an opened paperclip, into the hole and push. You will feel a give. Hold it in for at least 10 seconds. The device lights will start blinking. You can then remove the paperclip and either let the flex charge while in the computer or move it to the wall charger. It should work like new again.

If you got your flex wet you might have to let it dry out for a couple of days. It is "waterproof" but mine is affected by water I think when it has this problem. It absolutely won't charge for a day or two, even after I try to reset so I just try the reset every day until it works. This has happened to me twice this summer but my flex is over a year old. Water didn't used to bother it at all.

ETA - I know when the reset doesn't work because it doesn't light up at all. That's when I think it's dead but if I wait another day or so it works. YAY!!

I only had mine a little of a month and CS was wonderful. Mine was not fully charging and then not charging at all. I contacted CS and they asked for the Invoice from where I purchased it and that was that.A few days later a NEW FITBIT was delivered to me.

Thank you for your help. I was able to find little pinhole on charger, and will try that next time . Maybe I need a better wall charger too. Will check for wetness also, though I never wear in shower. Thanks again, Susi!

I just bought the Flex; hope I don't have issues! I had the "One" (actually had two!) but dropped them both & they both stopped working, so thought the Flex would be better for me! Hope I didn't make a mistake!
