I worked with a lady who tried this system. The meals she brought to work looked horrible and she usually only ate a few bites of it before throwing it away. The commercials Marie does are on constantly and so annoying! I would never use this stuff; high in sodium and carbs. I have seen some of the food at Big Lots; guess that is where it goes to die....it was all 99 cents and by looking at the labels, was just gross to me.

It's been sold on QVC many times, and tonight there's Marie, she looks fabulous. Just wondering if anyone here has tried it, were you successful, did you like it .... are you still on it? I understand you need to exercise along with it and eat fruits & vegetables .... would you say those 'before' and 'after' pictures are typical of what the system really does?

I have been on the program three different times. The food they sent me was food I could not eat, such as sea food, etc. I liked some of the food, but did not care for some either. They selected what we ate. I would rather choose my own food tastes. That way, I could stay with it more. When you purchase straight from the company I think you get to choose your foods. I need to do something to lose, as I have a number of health problems and need to lose as well. Try it, you will like it, especially with Marie putting the foods together.

If you order it from Nutrisystem you can get the My Way Program where you select your own food. It does cost more when you choose your own food but that's so much better than taking whatever they decide to send you. I think the food is good and I didn't think it was overly salty. It IS a diet, so the portions are small, but it's good and you won't go hungry. In fact you'll be eating frequently. If you remember that it's a diet and not a five star restaurant I think you'll be pleased. If you decide to try it, best of luck!

I was in Walmart the other day and I saw a box of Nutrisystem for around $45.00....I didn't linger....so I don't know how much was in it...or for how many days...etc etc....what I was thinking...anyone that wants to give it a go....pick up one of those..then you only have a small amount invested....to see if its something you want to try...

As with all weight loss programs...you are still encouraged to exercise and eat lots of fruit and veggies...drink lots of water...don't you suppose you could accomplish that on your own...

A few years back I lost 60 lbs by doing just that...unfortunately when I stopped exercising and eating right...I put it back on....but then many people on Nutrisystem found that happened to them when they stopped the program...

My sister and two of my friends tried it and none of them could get past the horrible food. If you order from their website I think they have two versions: regular Nutri system and Nutri System Select. They contain different foods with the ""fresh"" being more pleasant though still bad. I have always stayed in shape following my own eating plan which is all fresh foods. I would never eat such unhealthy food with additives such as Nuti System and Jenny Craig. My suggestion to you is Weight Watchers. All you foods are fresh not frozen and much healthier. No way would I be a slave to some company's frozen prepackaged foods.

Such interesting replies. I don't really need it that bad to subject myself to all the additives and expense, but I was wondering if it worked as well and as easy as they claim. I did do some googling to find out what others who have tried it thought, and the reviews were about half and half. Thank you, Circles, for the Wal-Mart info, that's something to keep in mind, and thank you Gemmy for the buddy bucks offer, so nice of you! I think you may be right, Desertdi, that you could possibly create your own meals at home, and probably a lot healthier without the additives, which kinda scare me. Marie looks great, but I've always wondered how Dolly lost all her weight and has stayed so thin!

I ordered a big box of Nutrisystem from Q one time. Tried one snack item and sent it all back as I found the snack dry and tasteless. You still have to buy groceries to be on the program, fruits, veggies, etc., so you might as well buy it all at the store. Also, something about the unrefrigerated entres seemed a little gross to me.

You can accomplish the same thing with Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, Healthy Choice, etc. for far less money and they actually taste good - some better than others. Bulk them up with some non-starchy vegetables or a salad and you have a huge plate of food for lunch or dinner and very few calories. Add some daily fruit, light yogurt, some well-chosen treats, lots of water, keep a daily food diary to monitor your calories and stay within your allotment and viola! You have success. There are lots of blogs, vlogs and youtubers that offer food finds and hints for success to help you along the way.

You can try myfitnesspal . com for free - they will help you establish your daily calorie goal and monitor calories, protein, fat, carbs, fiber, vitamins, water, etc. automatically as you enter the foods you choose throughout the day. You can plan your whole day in advance and adjust accordingly or enter foods as you eat them. There are lots of helpful tools and is a very active community that is very helpful.

I have lost 21 lbs since 4/28/14 doing the old Weight Watchers Flex Points program on my own with little exercise. I ordered a WW At Home kit online from their site years ago. I've never been to a meeting. This is not the first time I have been on the program and lost a good deal of weight, but did not maintain it because I never accepted that it is a permanent lifestyle change until now. I realize that I am not really capable of guesstimating how much I am eating without keeping a food diary. Once you get the hang of it, it's like second nature.

Personally, I would not want to have to eat Nutrisystem or Jenny exclusively in order to lose or maintain my weight. Way too limiting, very expensive and not something I could commit to long term.

If you commit yourself to making healthier choices and experimenting with what real foods/quantities sustain you throughout the day (typically some protein), re-vamping your favorite recipes and PORTION CONTROL, it can be a very satisfying way to live, especially when you step on the scale and see another pound is gone.

Hope some of this helps and much good luck to you!

Nutrisystem is the worst tasting food of any diet plan I have done. Weight Watchers was the best second to simply using Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines. I especially like the Lean Cuisine meal I believe is called Additions. You just add your salad greens, as much as you want. Unfortunately, if your mind is ready for change, none of the plans work.

I would take the money I would spend on Nutrisystem and invest in a Vitamix, if you don't have one already. They're great for making soups, smoothies, and fresh salad dressings.

My husband is a diabetic and he went on Nutrisystem-D for about 6 months and lost 60 lbs. It got his A1C levels down where they should be as well, so I know the program works. He didn't purchase from QVC, but got his selections monthly from the Nutrisystem website. The only thing I saw that I didn't think I could do was there was a lot of pasta and tomato type products, so that wouldn't work with me.

I am on the fence. Would like to get it to jump start my weight loss but I just don't like the idea of how processed it is. I've been eating mostly organic fruits and veggies and chicken and yogurt, the thought of putting this processed food into my diet is not appealing to me. I eat good, clean foods, but my problem is portion control and too much fat. It's healthy fat, but I use olive oil in my salad dressings and to cook with etc. I usually make chicken and veggies every night for dinner, but then I go back and take a few more bites then I've eaten two portions instead of one. Too much emotional eating. A co-worker has been using Nutrisystem and she looks great. She lost 50ish pounds. She still enjoys her wine and occasional pizza. I thought maybe if I did it for a short period of time I could get some pounds off to get me going on my own. (Also considering the 21 day fix program which uses color-coordinated portion control food containers for a daily eating system - but you use your own food).

I don't believe in any type of pre(whatever) meal programs. How many want to stay on something like that long term(to me long term means the rest of ones life)? At some point most return to eating real foods and if they haven't changed the cause of weighing more than they prefer?

Most get heavier when regaining the weight. That part is not the worst part. The worst part is that most that "regain" it is fat tissue which ups their percentage of body fat. That is not good.

Hey, to each their own.

I have ordered the system and sent it back also. Food tasteless and seemed less than nutritious than what I was already eating. By the time I bought the extras I needed to fill in my nutritional needs, it became quite an expensive way to eat. I would love to look as good as Marie Osmond but I think she's way overplaying this particular system the way most salesmen do.

That includes weighing your food, and making the right food choices. It is definitely possible to lose weight on these programs and not regain the weight. You just have to stay vigilant. Also, weighing yourself regularly is vital. If you see that you've you've gained even a half pound you know you're eating more calories than you're burning. I highly recommend the Aria WiFi Smart Scale.

You just need to pay attention to calories in, and calories out. Exercise...even just walking...is a must.
