I ordered the flex belt and have been using it for the past 2 weeks. I read some old posts concerning this belt and they all debunked it though it has gotten great reviews. I am here to tell you that this belt works!! I have got that "middle age middle" and have tried everything short of surgery to get rid of it. I can see a change in my abs and love handles like I've never seen before. I am going to Pilates, walking , and biking and watching what I eat , of course, but I've always done that . My husband, who has had back surgery, can't do situps and this has been a real gift to him. I am quite a cynic but thought, what the heck, try it. Am so pleased, so far, with the results. I actually wore a tee shirt out in public yesterday that I hadn't worn in a year or so as my stomach looked so bad in it. No more huge tummy showing. It is really tightening up the area.

Any piece of equipment that adds enthusiasm to exercise and eating the right foods in the right amounts? To me I see no negative.

I think many that say "nay" after trying certain products have way too high expectations for them. No 1 belt or piece of machinery is going to do much for anyone if they do not "put in their own effort". For most these things are to make certain things easier, even if it is only mentally and they do nothing physically.

EMS has been around for decades now and I used it way back in the 1970's with a friend that was a Chiropractor and used these to help with some problems that in that era were not even thought about. Muscle stimulation can be a good thing and for many it can be the panacea that keeps them enthused about their programs.

Congrats to you and to your new exercise helper.

hckynut, You are right. I do think that many people have way too high of expectations when it comes to products that are supposed to "better" us. Everyone wants quick, easy results. Like I said, I really didn't expect it to work. But, with much experience with many things, patience is so important . What is really important is that , once you do start seeing results, it only wants you to stick to a healthy diet to see even better results.
