      <description>&lt;P&gt;Well hello to me here on the 1st day of July!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Checking in with 21 day fix upper body.  Used heavier weights today.  Upped them by 2 pounds.  Lots of abs and planks.  Held it for 1 minute, 2 rounds...so that's good for me.  My push ups stink still.  &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Hair apt I have to get ready for but want to do cardio this afternoon.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Have a wonderful day!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm just coming on in to say hi!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;It looks like you really 'heart' July! July is my least favorite month for walking outside. I would much rather walk in 20-degree weather.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;So....if it way too hot/humid (and I don't like to walk too late after the sun sets), I'll definitely take the bike out. It's great biking around my neck of the woods. We have a bike path (I think it goes for about 15 miles or so), but I'm only on that for part of the time.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi, all! Worked in the yard for 30 minutes then did the treadmill for 40. It was a really long, hard day at work, and I only got about 4 hours of choppy sleep last night.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone, I guess it is July!  I forgot to check-in...we've been busy the past couple of days. I don't think I've even known what the TSV's have been...that's unusual, I always check those out even if I don't look at anything else!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Went to gym this morning...lifted legs then did the Arc Trainer for my cardio since my foot is acting up again.  But it was good to cross-train, it was the first time dh had done the Arc Trainer and he really liked it, he could feel it because he did heavy legs yesterday.  I also did the rope-pull which gets you breathing hard as well.  We walked there then walked and ran back home the long way...can't go too far because of my foot...grrrrr.  Then we took Lucy for 2 miles on the beach. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Yesterday we went to a different base gym, I lifted upper-body and we did a class that was pretty intense.  I ate a lot last night, I was starving...probably overdid it a little especially with everything else going on...my body needed the fuel though, there wasn't any stopping it!  Also went to the beach and that always makes me hungry.  Everything makes me hungry!       <description>&lt;P&gt;Ran yesterday, but it was wasted miles.  I gave whole blood on Monday and didn't even think about it when I ran last night. I was dying. Hooray...it's 67 and breezy and sunny....I have all the windows open!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Checking in with a 3 mile walk and lower body with squats, inner and outer thigh lunges, dead lifts, and abs...&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Hi Harpa and SFGIANTSGIRL, glad to have you popping in here and good luck racing SF...sounds like fun!  &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;FUTURE some days are just like that....it isn't fun but we manage some how.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Nomless Great on the Cardio....you got it done!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Pppmint I hope your foot begins to feel better.       <description>&lt;P&gt;nomless, we like it a lot better than the elliptical...can get a much better range of motion so you can feel it in your legs much sooner.  You can increase the intensity as well as the incline which makes the movement change.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;SFGIANTSGAL, good-luck on your race!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;bopper, taking today off the foot other than walked Lucy a mile this morning. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Going to lift upper today, love having a gym so close to me...and free! Trying to wait until closer to 8 so all the active-duty guys are out of there.  I know I shouldn't care, but I do...lol. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Have only been here a week and already have a hurricane coming...only us!  And of course, we're right on the beach.  Not going to take a direct hit here though, just rain, wind, and high surf...praying for the Outer Banks.  We'll go down and watch the waves, so much power in them, really puts you in your place. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;DH has his pre-op appt this morning for his shoulder.  This is going to be interesting with recovery being in a hotel.       <description>&lt;P&gt;What a night!  Tornado alarm went off at 1:30, said one touched down by us and a funnel cloud was reported at a bridge that is up the road from us.  TV has been out, lights are flickering and wind is blowing like crazy.  We're right on the beach so are getting higher winds and more rain than inland is. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Animals were out of sorts all night long, cats were up and off the bed, Lucy was scratching at me like she wanted me to do something...the alarm scared me half to death!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Oh, yes, Lucy is something else!  If you are outside with her, you do not take your eyes off of her...not only does she go after everything, she eats everything in sight...and I mean everything.  You should have heard me screaming when she was chasing the snake...and it was a big one too.  DH was chasing her and trying to grab her and she is fast!  Normally she stays right with us when she is off-leash, but if she's chasing critters, all bets are off...lol!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Going to our friends house for a cook-out later today...hurricane will be gone by later this afternoon.  Fireworks were rescheduled for tomorrow night so we'll be able to see them from the beach here. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I'm not that sore today, was hoping to be worse than I am.  The gym was empty yesterday, even the free-weight room!  I did the rope-climb machine again, that really works your upper body but it hits your abs too, you use everything.  I had the tension set on 5, 6 is as high as it goes but I just did weights and I could feel it...couldn't do it that long. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;nomless, I thought of you when I was on the ARC!  I put the incline and the tension up pretty high but then I could feel my foot so that was a bad idea...lol.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey all, Happy 4th of July!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;We did the parade thing, and then listened to my BIL in his band play outside on the patio at a restaurant..  &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Tonight we are heading to our International food fest at the Harbor to listen to music and watch the fireworks.  My neighbor has a big boat he invited us on but we'll make an appearance and then do our own thing.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Pppmint go glad you are safe...it sounds very scary and dangerous to be out.  Lucy cracks us all up you know.  I can just see her, ears blowing in the wind chasing "whatever" is out there and you running behind her yelling! We played Corn-hole and my gf and I rode 10 miles on the beach cruisers...it was very fun and relaxing.  Lucy had a blast with everyone and was very good right up until I left on the bike without her.  They were all saying they didn't believe us that she can be naughty so she proved them wrong.&lt;IMG src="http://community.qvc.com/DesktopModules/ExactTarget/Controls/TextEditor/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/laugh.gif" alt="{#emotions_dlg.laugh}" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;We did the boardwalk this morning, foot really started bothering me about 2 miles into it so we did the last 4 alternating power-walking and running.  Then biked 18 miles.  Going to gym now for some weights then heading to the beach.  Only supposed to be 80* today and lower humidity so we best take advantage of it whilst we can. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Meeting our friends for Kale Smoothies after the beach...they were going to join us at beach but they decided they better run some errands for their upcoming vacation while they have the time and will just meet up with us later.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!  &lt;IMG src="http://community.qvc.com/DesktopModules/ExactTarget/Controls/TextEditor/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/thumbup.gif" alt="{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>SF, I hope your race went well. Bopper, I hpoe you enjoed your evening. Patty, I'm glad the storm didn't interfere too much....it sounds like your having a great time, and Lucy, too. I jusr finished cardio. Not feeling great so I wet slow. To makecup for slow, I did 90 minutes insted of my usual 50-60. Watched Ladies of London while I did treadmill and bike. I cleaned the bathroom this morning, think I'll rlax this afternoon with a book.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What book are you reading nomless?  I'm reading two...The Astronaut Wives Club and China Dolls by Lisa See.  I loved Snow Flower And the Secret Fan and Shanghai Girls so I'm hoping this one is good too.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;On the go all day yesterday, I even went body-surfing in the waves...lol!  I got clobbered, water up my nose and everything.  Met 2 couples for dinner/smoothies then watched the fireworks last night.  I had the new Totally Green smoothie at Tropical Smoothie(you can have them made without sugar)...I liked it.  If you don't like celery, you won't like it.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;We did a few miles on the beach this morning in the sand...there is one area I can walk on that is better for my foot.  Then we did a good ab/core work-out. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Time to get ready for Sunday School and church, then we're going to lunch at our friend's house.  Lucy will not be happy today.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Have a great day....waving to everyone! &lt;/P&gt;</description>
