I swear, my body has trouble with everything.

Anyone ever take Vitamin B complex and have problems with it? I used to take it years and years ago with no issues Then I stopped.

I ordered a new supply and they arrived today and I took my first one after lunch. Let's just say that my system didn't handle it well. I am not willing to try those again tomorrow. It is incredibly frustrating. I had some health issues last year and my already sensitive system is even worse than it used to be. Things that people routinely eat or supplements they take, I just can't.

I take B Complex daily. I use liquid not capsules and take it with breakfast. You're supposed to take it with food in the morning. And drink lots of water. Capsules and tablets really tore my stomach up. I used to take it with coffee on an empty stomach. I quickly learned my lesson.

I only take B-12 500mg sublingual melting tablet. I buy Lifeextention. The regular b-12 can have too much niacin in it , which mkes my heart race, with flushing and anxiety. i used to get the shots, which helps with fatigue, and some anemia. Now Drs will only give it to you for medical reasons like Pernicious Anemia. And deficiency. I buy the under the tongue lozenges in the low dose and it works well

I would consider taking a 'low-dose' B complex. That kind doesn't have the high amounts found in most B complex supps but instead contain B vitamins at or close to 100% of the RDA amounts.

Anyway, so discouraging.

@gidgetgh Likewise. I don't sleep well either. It's so frustrating. I've learned that I just cannot take some supplements because they don't agree with me. And so many others love them.....

Sorry to hear of your side effects from a product that you thought would help you. It was probably the b12 or niacin . You might want to discuss what your issue for taking the product in the first place was with your health care professional - maybe have blood work done on thyroid, vitamin D and B and iron levels etc . You said that you are recovering from health issues - please be patient with yourself .

Look at the ingredient stack on the label. Then add that stack to your other Lessman supplements to see just how much you are taking.

I quit taking complex formulas because if a single ingredient backfires, it's hard to find the culprit.

I still like the quality of GNC veggie caps.

@gidgetgh Are the capsules the kind with a seam that can be pulled apart? You could try dumping out half or even 2/3rds of the contents and see how you handle the remainder. If it works for you there are empty capsules you could buy to save the emptied part for later use. Sounds like a pain, and it is, but it is just another idea I wanted to offer. The dosage from day to day won't be exact but again, just an idea as an experiment.

I agree to take with food. I have had b complex cause nausea on an empty stomach. B Complex tends to make me sleepy during the day. But if I take it at night it seems to energize my mind just a tad, so I really dislike taking them at all, even though they can be beneficial. I am still working out when and how much for me personally.

ETA: FWIW I don't have any nausea or sleepiness issues when taking Methylcobalamin (B12) or 5-MTHF (folate) alone on an empty stomach, so for "me" it is one of the other B vitamins having those effects.
