I did take several classes. Its not as easy as it looks. Very slow movements which actually are difficult. I admire anyone that can do it. Its so beautiful and graceful.

I had no idea what you were talking about @bargainsgirl so I googled it. There's info out there on the web. Seems it's the kind of "stepping" we did in many of the routines and exercises we did in Tai Chi classes, Going from basic beginning postures to more complex ones. We also did Tai Chi Walk with wings in which you have specific arm movements. We took classes for years and it makes you really, really strong and improves balance.

I haven't tried Tai Chi walking yet, but I would like to. From what I have read, it has many health benefits. I also think it looks easy, but may take some practice. I've discovered a mother/daughter exercise site on youtube called yes2next. It's excellent and it's geared towards beginners and seniors. There are many 5 min, 10 min, and 15 min various workouts. They have quite a few Tai Chi workouts too. I love all of their 5 min and 10 min workouts, including Tai Chi. I should start there.

I've done tai chi for years . The walking was used in the beginning of some classes to perfect balance. It involves working through the whole foot and balancing properly before releasing the other foot.
When I walk the dog and there are gumballs , acorns or hickory nuts in the road I concentrate on tai chi walking just in case I happen to step on one. It helps on uneven pavement also.
         🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏼🥋
