Pilates Exercise Bar - 3-in-1 Adaptable Bar

I'm sure like a lot of you that are on Facebook, you see the ad for the Pilates bar a lot. Well I got curious so went to the website to check it out, watched some videos - of course the ones on the website make it look good and easy to use. Was wondering if anyone has one and what you think of it? Is it easy to use? Do you find it convenient to use? What is the quality like? I have this thought in my head of the bands snapping the more you turn the bar. Is it easy to put together? Are the exercise videos helpful?

So if you have the Pilates bar, I would like to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

Is it made by Aeropilates ... or another manufacturer?

@Tinkrbl44 - Thats a good question. There are a couple of these bars advertised. The one I looked at was from "mypilates dot com." I would have to do some research on who makes it.

Went and checked Google and there are quite a few companies that make a "pilates" bar.

Well, now you can google reviews for the pilates bar from each of those companies and see what comes up.

I bought my reformer from Aeropilates years ago, and find it to be well made and it has stood the test of time.

See what kind of warranties they offer, too.

That's my two cents on the subject, lol.

I do own a pilates reformer but mostly do resistance training w/weights & a bowflex home gym. I checked the Pilates bar, looks easy but I would think a sturdy pilates chair

w/attached resistance bands would be more helpful coz this seems more likely to cause injury if you mess up your form. If you are an experienced Pilates practitioner you could make this work.

Just recovering from a hamstring injury myself, my first time but those things are painful & take a while to heal. I am careful when I buy these new excercise tools.

@FLGators - Good point re the bar and one's form. Unfortunately can't do the chair - which I've also seen advertisied - as don't have room for it. I'm going to give the bar some more thought before I do anything about it. Thanks for your input.

@JudyL Springboard is another option to consider if space is limited, it is wall mountable but not portable like the bar. Balanced Body channel has Youtube videos, you can watch & consider if it is the right equipment for you. I have considered Tonal for myself but those things are expensive.

Agree with you. IMO a quality reformer is the way to go. I will never regret purchasing. Space, of course, is an issue for many. But if it can be managed somehow with some creative re-organizing, creating some space...a reformer is long lasting...most effective. And so versatile.
