MY CANCER JOURNEY

As of this date I have been cancer free for 8 years! I was so lucky to have the BESTEST care (yeah I know that's not a real word!). Wonderful oncologist, radiologist, chemo nurses, the radiology techs (gold stars to them too), all the nurses who did my port flushes and blood draws -- everyone.

They were every single one, kind, friendly and caring.

Without these people and the fabulous hospital that treated me I wouldn't be here. I am so thankful.

Oh my gosh how could I forget my WONDERFUL surgeon! He is the best and has treated me for a whole bunch of things related to my first surgery. I absolutely ADORE that man.

Congratulations @Love my grandkids! You were surely blessed with a fantastic medical staff, and I am sure you touched their lives too! I'm not a nurse, but I have friends who are. An appreciative patient is a treasure!

@Love my grandkids And many more. Congrats to you! I am 22 years cancer free, as are many of my friends. Weird, but 3 of got breast cancer about same time. We all took different journeys, different treatments, BUT WE ALL ARE CANCER FREE NOW! This will be you too.!

Congratulations !!! Isn' that a awesome feeling ? God Bless you and the medical staff that helped you along that journey !! I am a Colon cancer survivor along with my son who was 35 when diagnosed. Again blessings and congrads to you !

@Love my grandkids. Hard to believe it but now all the UNM hospitals and clinics have signs in the lobby area warning that people abusing their employees will be arrested and prosecuted. I assume this is a problem everywhere. Hard to believe.

@Love my grandkids --Congrats to you!!! Can you believe it's been 8 years??? And 8 years ago, did you think all the blood, sweat and tears you went through, you would be able to say I am a survivor? I am a 12+ year survivor of breast cancer--and I too, had remarkable people on my team. Without being near a world class cancer center--I had no idea it was in my neighborhood---and all those amazing people helping me--not sure I would have made it. I was declared cured by my onc dr Oct of 2021. Am thrilled for you!!!

@wagirl Thanks and yay for you. Here in WA state we have wonderful medical care. I don't know if you know of Evergreen Hospital but that's my go-place for all these things and they get gold stars across the board.
