aneurysm (brain) update.

@GingerHead and everyone. I had my surgery yesteday afternoon and stayed in ICU overnight. Everything went very well and I came home today and will rest a couple of days, but really no restrictions as they went thru the wrist and not the groin. I just want to thank everyone for your well wishes and prayers, A big thank you to GingerHead for telling me to get to the doctor and have things checked out due to noises in my head.

I've had several heart caths and they go through the wrist. They still prep the groin, but go through the wrist and it is so much easier. I now have trouble with that wrist, hope it is not related.

@catter70 YAY!!! I realize this seems like a little response, but believe me.... I am jumping with joy inside!!! EVERYONE on here has been patiently waiting for your update, and THANK YOU for thinking so highly of everyone that you updated us SO quickly!!!

I am thrilled they were able to use your wrist rather than your groin!!! It hasn't been that long that they are sometimes able to make that important switch. It seems each year they make strides for faster and easier healing, which is wonderful. (Yes, @Kachina624 medical science IS wonderful!)

Now you deserve REST and a little RELAXATION! Even though you were given no restrictions due to using the wrist, you did just have not only a significant surgery, but an extremely emotional last few days. For that I hope you treat yourself to doing whatever it is that makes you happy. Yes, getting through this will be enough for happiness, but I mean just to breathe deeply and truly marvel at science and allow your body to fully recuperate.

Once again, thank you to @GingerHead for mentioning you need to see a doctor pronto. I hadn't read that thread but I will look for it. I don't know what symptoms you both experienced and would like to catch up on that. This is clearly something that needed prompt attention! I had never heard of hearing noises in your head.

Continued prayers for speedy healing and peace of mind! Thank you again @catter70 for catching us up. We will breathe a sigh of relief to know you are well again

I have enough blankets on my bed, so need for a weighted blanket. I never sleep well, but recently have a noise like a heartbeat in my ear every night, so I got out the white noise machine which is about 45 years old. I found that to be annoying too, so I turned it off. Can't take sleep aids as I have COPD. Guess I'm destined to sleepless nights.

You hear a heartbeat sound in your ear? Is this a new thing?

I'd speak to your doctor soon about that, it could be pulsatile tinnitus which can be a symptom of many different underlying conditions including those that involve blood flow in your head and neck and your heart.

@GingerHead , yes the sound in my head/ear is like a heart beat and it started about a month ago. I'm on BP meds and blood thinner. I was just to the doctor a couple months ago. Thanks for the info.

If you haven't told your doctor about it maybe send them a message about it just to be safe. Most doctors have some sort of portals where you can send and receive messages online or give them a quick call......

I know of a young woman who had the heartbeat in her ear as well, she was treated at Johns Hopkins for it but honestly i dont know the exact outcome.
