Has anyone ever had a high platelet count and what was the outcome? My count is 537 with 500 and lower acceptable. I do see my Dr. next week. All other results were fine. I did have a bad cold when I had my lab work done and I also suffer from anxiety which I understand can also affect results. Fingers crossed

High platelets could be related to the medications you take or a number of other factors. Ask your doctor.

In Sept, I had very very low platelet and blood oxygen counts. It scared me because my mom died of a blood disease with similar symptoms.

My dr put me on an iron supplement and my January test improved a lot.

I'd be more worried about trends over time. Hopefully your doctor will retest and everything will be fine!

Wishing you well!!!
