I've seen 3 of those in person (just not the bed bug bite) and that's how they look. Probably will see again living out in the country!

I need to save the pic since I have no clue what bug bites look like. I have heard about the bullseye with tick bites.

I have never had any of those bites. I'm sure I have probably been bit by a mosquito but never had a place on my body like that pic. They don't bother me. They do much worse to DH. They eat him up.

Having been bitten by bugs on both coasts, and have tried every topical bug bite product under the sun, my go-to relief is a paste of plain old baking soda and water.

Stops the itching and inflammation fairly quickly, and the price is right.

The only downside is if you put it on too thick the paste will fall off in crumbles as it dries, but ... so what?

When the itching won't stop and you scratch until it itches even more, baking soda crumbles on the floor is a very small price to pay for quick relief.

Oh! Getting stung by a wasp is the worst! A few summers ago, I got stung right on top of my head!

We have to spray a lot for wasps. I don't know why, but they tend to flock on our porches like crazy! They start building nests early around here. They're really tough to get rid of.

Oh! Getting stung by a wasp is the worst! A few summers ago, I got stung right on top of my head!

We have to spray a lot for wasps. I don't know why, but they tend to flock on our porches like crazy! They start building nests early around here. They're really tough to get rid of.

He was floundering badly on the surface of my little sister's kiddie pool. I thought he might drown, so I scooped him up and was about to toss him onto the grass when the ungrateful sucker BIT ME on my palm! The bite swelled and hurt badly for most of a week.

My father sympathized and said next time use a shovel from the sandbox or just let him drown. No good deed goes unpunished. lol

My little Ruby will bark and bite at wasps every chance she gets. I'm always afraid she's gonna try biting one and get stung. Last year, she did this with an enormous hornet and somehow managed to injury it by pawing at it. But once it was down, I knew I had to intervene and get rid of it! I don't know how you're supposed to treat a pet for an insect bite? Maybe Benadryl?

@cheriere Yes, Benadryl and if that doesn't do the trick or if the dog's breath gets labored get them right in to the vet and they will inject them with something stronger. My Boomer gets after flying insects and this is what our vet says to do.
BTW, I also had a rescue Boston Terrier named Ruby! She was a great little companion and friend. 🐾❤️

Thank you for the Benadryl tip. I had a feeling that's probably what I'd go to. Luckily, she hasn't been stung yet, but I'm always nervous since she loves to spend time outdoors in the summer.

I can't believe you had your own Little Ruby too! They're just the best! I can't imagine my life without her.
