Getting interstim stage 1 tomorrow. Anyone have it?

I have tried three different meditations and it's just not getting better. Im doing stage one tomorrow and if that works I'll do stage two. I'm not really sure what to expect for tomorrow. But I'm so ready for it. I've had this problem for about 10 years. Hope this fixes it. I've looked the procedure up and I'm really not sure what to expect tomorrow. Kind of unknown. Has anybody had it you can give me some advice?Thanks Robin

Sorry it was so confusing. I tried three different medication's. It's for incontinence.

I believe this is a treatment for overactive bladder. It's an implant.

Are you having it done under sedation. I am full aware of this procdure I belong to an QAB group on Facebook.

I think a friend of mine had something done several years ago and it was a success, and she was so happy to have done it. I know she had one procedure only and it was some type of sling they put in her bladder, so this must be different

@Robin1869 Its might fix it but as I understand it this is only a test and if it works a future surgery will be needed.

@Robin1869 80-90% of those who have the procedures report improvement over the first year. That's statistically much better numbers than with any of the oral medications, or other treatments.

Stage I is minimally invasive (done under local anesthesia) and will be a good test for you. I'm hoping it offers some relief, so you can move to Stage II.

After suffering with this problem for 10 years, it sounds like it may be a turning point for you. In your case it's a very worthy trial, with lots of satisfied patients. Just follow doc's instructions to a T, and good luck.

I would love to know how it goes for you. I have had this problem for many years. I just live with it but would consider an effective not too invasive procesure. The mesh sling for my bladder was a hard pass for me. Good luck!

Hi i'm the one who started the post. I did have a stage one procedure yesterday and it really has helped with the incontinence probably by 70% so far. So I hope to get the stage two procedure when the implant goes inside I will see the doctor Monday to see if I can continue on with a procedure.

@Robin1869 ... Good luck to you. I have the same thing! A small cough or a sneeze... forget it. I have COPD so l don't have just small coughs. After a bad coughing spell, I'm off to the bathroom to change my mattress-size pad. I don't think l would be able to take any medication for it because of other meds l take.

Please let us know how you make out!

In the meantime l googled this and l believe the implant goes under the bladder?

You must be so happy with just having this stage one procedure !
