      <title>My Afib is back</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I saw my endocrinologist yesterday and in listening to heart, he thought I was in Afib again.&amp;nbsp; Actually he we was sure.&amp;nbsp; He sent me to cardiology for the EKG and it was confirmed.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;He said since I'm on beta blockers for htn, that's why I didn't have the fatigue and racing heart I noticed before.&amp;nbsp; I see the cardiologist on 11/20.&amp;nbsp; Maybe another cardioversion or maybe time to discuss the ablation procedure.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/136743"&gt;@chrystaltree&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My dad is 81 and going strong (still working) and he has AFIB and had an&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;ablation procedure many years ago and it went great for him, he's been in rhythm&amp;nbsp;ever since.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;So if you have to have it, it works and isn't that bad according to him.&amp;nbsp;&lt;img id="smileyhappy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyhappy" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.png" alt="Smiley Happy" title="Smiley Happy" /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/136743"&gt;@chrystaltree&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;DH is 81 and over the last 30 years had " plumbing " problems with blood flow out of the heart. &amp;nbsp;This was taken care of by placement of stents over several years. &amp;nbsp;He now has approx. 12 stents in place. &amp;nbsp;They are working.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;A few years back, " electrical " problems with pre-ventricular contractions ( PVC's ) occurred and became Afib. &amp;nbsp;He was extremely lucky that a top notch ablation specialist joined the cardiology practice.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;When I asked him about why I hear of so many ablation attempts that seem to fail, he explained that he maps out all the areas that have the electrical malfunction and eradicates them ( my word here ). &amp;nbsp;He showed us DH's map and said it would be a lengthy procedure and May or may not include a defibrillator/ pacemaker insertion.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;The ablation part took 5 hours and then was immediately followed by 3 hours to complete the device,s insertion.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;DH is 99.9% Afib free: &amp;nbsp;the monitor shows maybe two 5-second instances / month. &amp;nbsp;He is careful to take his meds daily and is very active....walks and bikes only now. &amp;nbsp;But he is healthy.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;Good Luck with your ablation journey.....ask the question about " why so many repeat ablations " and listen carefully. &amp;nbsp;I always suggest to have another person with you so you get to hear fully what the doctor says.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;Hope this helps...&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I used to have scary episodes pretty often.&amp;nbsp; I've been taking Flecanide ever since twice a day.&amp;nbsp; The episodes have lessened over the years but still feel them coming on now and then.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#993300"&gt;The Cardiologist has been suggesting a pacemaker.&amp;nbsp; Not fond of that thought but maybe in the future.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#993300"&gt;I hope you get relief, it's worrisome and interferes with a busy life.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
