When you take it as fiber supplement it's very bland. Psyllium is the active ingredient in Metamucil but that also contains stuff to mask the bland taste like sweetener and flavoring.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I take 1 heaping teaspoon in 8-oz of water after each meal.       <description>&lt;P&gt;My doctor recommended psyllium fiber. &amp;nbsp;I like the Konsyl brand as it has no additives, flavorings, or sweeteners or sugar. &amp;nbsp; Just 100% psyllium fiber.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It tastes a bit like plain oatmeal. &amp;nbsp;I mix it with ice cold water and just drink it quickly, all at once before it "gels". &amp;nbsp;It took a bit to get used to it, but I am okay with it now.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My gastro doc recommended Benefiber powder to me 13 years ago, I use 2 teaspoons in 8 oz of water every morning. Also to save money I use Walmart or Walgreens brand, same thing, only one ingredient, Dextrin.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I let it gel just a little bit so it coats the insides of my esophagus&amp;nbsp;all the way down. That seems to help ease my indigestion and reflux, when I get it.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hmmmm. &amp;nbsp;I have acid issues too and I had never heard of letting it gel a bit to help with that. &amp;nbsp;Thanks for mentioning that tip! I am also trying to get my LDL cholesterol down. &amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The doctor that recommended the psyllium to me said I could just take it all at once and I have been doing that. &amp;nbsp;But I am thinking it may be better to do it as you do, 1 tsp with each meal and not the 1 Tblsp all at once. Maybe that would be better for trying to get my cholesterol down?🤷‍♀️&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I take some supplements with two of my meals and I was also thinking that it may interferewith that. &amp;nbsp; I probably am just over thinking it all.🤣&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I like Metamucil. It is psyllium fiber in a powder form. It's like an orange drink. Very easy to get down.&amp;nbsp; They have with sugar or sweetened wth stevia.&amp;nbsp; They also have in capsule form and wafer form.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Look online for recipes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe add it to soft food, too, something you can mix into it. It will thicken it a lot.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
