@darkhomespun @I was able to hover over the ingredients here in Q and there's no animal products at all in them.

@phoenixbrd The spongy part of Scrubzz appears to be a synthetic material.

As an experiment today I used a Scrubzz to "wash" my hair as they advertise you can do. I really soaked and scrubbed my hair, which wasn't dirty. Its dry now and it feels stiff and greasy. Not happy with the results.

What I know is that when I had a badly fractured right humerus that required surgery with plates, screws, and small cables, followed by physical and occupational therapy, this product was a real life saver for this right handed gal who was not able to take a real shower for months. I recommend these to anyone who has issues with bathing or showering no matter what the reason.

How can those things be 'rinse-free' with all those ingredients in them? I would want to wipe it off after using one.

@SilleeMee I don't know but they dry, leaving no residue or stickiness but a fresh clean smell. They'd be a real boon for campers and hikers.

I bought one pack to try them out. I am disappointed because I thought that they were fragrance free but they aren't. But I sure wish I had them when I fractured and broke my shoulder five years ago!!

@phoenixbrd @The OP isn't asking about sponges, the animals. She's asking about bath wipes and whether the wipes, called ScrubZZs, contain any ingredients made from animals.

My sister is disabled, she's paralyzed on her left side. I bought some for her to use on the days when her homemaker isn't there to help her shower. I don't think they'd work for hair regardless of what they say.

I put a pack in our emergency kit for when/if we lose power out here in the country. Water is even more precious during that time and I still want to be as clean as I can. I wish I'd had these back in my hiking days and when I had a right shoulder replacement. I also gave packs to my sisters for emergency use.

I have been thinking of trying these Scrubzz myself.

I have tried rinse-free products before when hospitalized and there are different kinds of these products.

I've tried some that were in a bottle and already wet where you just apply them and then just towel dry yourself.

I've also tried some of the larger pre-moistened towel wipes, too.

If you find yourself in a situation where you're not able to wash your hair due to surgery, there are shampoo shower caps out there.

I've used those both in the hospital and at home.

If you're not familiar with them, they're shower caps that come ready-made with a combination of shampoo and conditioner in them. You can warm it up in a microwave oven for 15-20 seconds before putting it on your head.

You place all of your hair in it and then place it over your head, and then you massage your head for 1-2 minutes to get your head wet.

Then you towel dry your hair and then style as usual.

I'm able to sit up and wash my hair myself this way but I'll usually have my husband help me with getting the cap on and making sure that it's covering my head.

These caps work pretty well at cleaning your hair.
