Question re: Protein Powder

Can someone help me with this - I always make smoothies with fruit, spinach, almond milk, etc. and I wanted to add some protein powder that does not contain any sugar or sugar sustitutes. I checked on Amazon and there are a zillion different kinds. Does anyone know of a good one without the sugar or substitutes?

140-267 at HSN. They are protein capsules by Andrew Lessman. I drink his protein shakes also but I add some of those capsules throughout the day.

@lovesallanimals You'd be best to purchase an organic powder. I've tried many from whole foods and they do carry brands without added sugar. One I have had before is Orgain. (on Amazon) It has pea protein, brown rice protein and chia seeds. Pea protein is one of the best plant proteins to consume. Also I use Andrew Lessman's Ultimate Whey protein isolate shake powder. No sugar or sweetener. There's a lot out there..... Good luck

Another vote for Orgain too. It comes in many flavors--with sugar--or plain-- without. I can't taste it at all and it blends in, without any lumps or grit. I put it in my hot chocolate in the a.m.--my beverage of choice and in smoothies. I also use that brand collegen too. Get from AMZ.

Another taking Orgain, chocolate, and i only use water and some cinnamon. Shake and you're good to go.

Thanks everybody! I just went to Amazon and ordered the organic unflavored one as it has no sugar. I always add a drop of organic honey to my shakes so this sounds perfect. I use quite a few of Andrew Lessman's products but this sounded more of what I was looking for.

Adding protein to your diet to build or maintain muscle mass when you don't eat enough protein in your daily intake.

I'm also looking for a good protein powder or drink without artificial sweeteners or STEVIA. I can't tolerate the aftertaste. So far, I haven't been able to find one. I think I just may be searching for a Unicorn.

Amazon sells a brand called Bulksupplements. They sell pure protein powders w/o any additives, flavorings or sweeteners...just pure protein powders in different options. You choose...whey, egg, pea, casein, hemp, soy, rice and there's more.

@SilleeMee Thanks for this information. I was so excited to Orgain but I have a pea intolerance, dairy, you name it. I use "rice dream" for anything milk related. When you said "rice" I got excited. Will look it up!!

That particular rice protein powder is organic. Not all of their protein powders are organic so it's a good choice.

I would say their prices are reasonable, not cheap nor are their products expensive. I've purchased many supps from them and have always compared their prices with other manufacturers. It seems I always come back to Bulksupplements, especially for larger quantities. They're truly "cheaper by the dozen". Many other suppliers don't offer their supps in larger amounts, but they do. Saves me money and time.

I always hated the cloyingly sweet taste of sweeteners in protein powder--even stevia, which I generally like. It was off-putting and also competed with the wonderful, natural falvor of whatever fruit I was adding to a smoothie. Now I use collagen peptides only. There's no flavor and no sugar or sugar substitutes. When I add it to coffee, theres no change in texture, either
