Have had 2 pancreatic surgeries and now I am pre diabetic. I have no appetite and can't eat a lot of food. unfortunately, I eat a lot of carbs because I can digest themeasily and they don't hurt my stomach. Take a lot of RX enzymes. Does anyone have any suggestions for easy, digestible foods? I try to eat vegs but I get sick from them! Do make veg smoothies in my vitamix. Thanks. Stay healthy.

So sorry you are having to deal with this, Coquille. My own situation is very simple compared to yours- per diabetic but able to manage with diet/exercise, but if I were in your situation I'd have a COUPLE consultations with specialists who were highly trained in the management of COMPLEX circumstances regarding pancreatic function, symptom management, etc. with all due respect to lovescats, I think your particular concerns need some focused solutions that are based specifically on your situation. Please post as you work to find good solutions for your needs.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's reasonable to hope that having had 2 pancreatic surgeries she's probably encountered an endocrinologist somewhere or another, but then, I think making rash recommendations about anyone's medical issues is definitely "grossly irresponsible".

Coquille I just wanted to say that I think for sure that you have spoken to your physician or health provider and you're just looking to see if anyone has gone through is going thru the same experience you have. I have posted questions on other medical support forums and sometimes it is nice to know that someone else has gone thru the same thing. ( not that I would really wish it on anyone but that's a different story).

I think sometimes the ideas on this board ( or other boards) can give your ideas for questions to ask your doctor. Please take care and stay healthy.

A lot of us have a lot of experience with diabetes, and keeping it under control (I also use a low carb Bernstein approach). That said, I have to agree with the others here. Your situation sounds like it might be more complicated than many, and there are factors involved that none of us can possibly consider. Please stay on your doctors with your questions and insist that they don't dismiss any of your questions. The most important thing for you NOT to do is ignore it.

What we can be, however, is support in however you need to face this!
