      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/124592"&gt;@colleena&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;I did intermittent fasting only eating between 12:00 noon and 8:00 PM.&amp;nbsp; I worked my way into it though.&amp;nbsp; First I stopped eating at 8:00 PM and ate a small breakfast at 9:00 AM.&amp;nbsp; I did that for a couple of days and then started a small breakfast at 10:00 AM and so on.&amp;nbsp; I think you can have black coffee but no cream and sugar.&amp;nbsp; Lots of water helps.&amp;nbsp; I do think you should run it by your doctor as&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/35228"&gt;@Kachina624&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; said.&amp;nbsp; By noon I was so hungry I could have chewed someone's arm off if they got in my way going to the kitchen.&amp;nbsp; I liked it but traveled and didn't stick with it on the trip and now that I am home I just don't feel like doing it again.&amp;nbsp; Good luck with whatever you decide.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

And, as you said you plan to do, talk with your doctor first especially if you have any medical concerns🙂&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It still boils down to caloric deprivation when it comes to weight loss.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, you can have coffee but no sugar.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; You can do the Bulletproof style coffee with coconut oil and butter but not milk (heavy cream okay).&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;This is the best thing you can do for yourself!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;it promotes autophagy for longevity.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I was doing this before it had a name.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I hated breakfast (and still do) so i have been doing this since my teens (I am 63).&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You try to decrease the amount of time you are eating.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I am not hungry until 1 or 2 so have my first meal then; then i have dinner around 5ish.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Then i am done.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; If you want to try it, just delay your breakfast an hour each day to your comfort.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Lots of info on it.&amp;nbsp; Dr. Fung wrote a book on it; also Dr. Mercola has lots of info on it.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; I was so happy when i heard it has a name and actually good for you.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>My docs have been fine with my method of IF. I have a 6-8 hour eating window. It has helped me lose wt when I needed to &amp;amp; keep my wt down after I got to my desired wt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;At this point, for me, it's just become a habit/way of eating. It's certainly not a magic bullet, it's just a way of reducing calories. There may be other benefits for some people, but I can only talk about how I've used IF.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, some people (not myself) combine IF with Keto or Atkins food plans. So as others have mentioned, makes sense to determine how you want to proceed and discuss with your doc. Good luck whatever you decide to do.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Both my internest and my endocrinologist (a specialist in thyroid disorders and diabetes management) have endorsed my approach to healthy eating and are pleased with my overall health every time I have a check up.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;They both have known since I lost the first 50 pounds that I do this.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've done 23/1 for over 8 years, lost over 100 pounds, and for me, no interest in changing. I eat one super nutritious meal daily, and drink 2 cups of coffee when I wake up in the morning, and a cup of coffee or tea at noon, with. 12&amp;amp;1/2 and stevia.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;My body metabolism has not been "thrown into hibernation" although I'm kind of charmed by the concept.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;I've taken thyroid replacement for years, starting when I weighed about 255 and continuing until my present 155 weight. The dose has always been the same, however much I've weighed.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;I NEVER recommend life style changes&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;to anyone, because I think we all need to assume personal responsibility, but since I must have tried EVERY "....healthy balanced eating and NO CRAVINGS/moderation/don'tgiveupyourfavorites..." diet ever SOLD as THE CURE, and never really maintained a healthy weight until the last 8 or so years, I have to think I'm doing just fine with fasting.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do the research and be SURE to see what your doctor thinks.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Just have to say that INTERMITTENT FASTING works, it's just a new way of WHEN YOU EAT AND WHEN YOU STOP.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I achieved a weight loss,50 lbs. which I could NEVER succeed In doing when I&amp;nbsp; was younger even starving didn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did find that using MCT powder helped me in such a BIG&amp;nbsp; way as it took away the cravings,and allowed me to have 1 cup of coffee in the morning. I know it says black coffee but I need my cup of coffee .I did&amp;nbsp; it "MY WAY" and it worked.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Started off 16/8 now some days can do 20/4.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Will continue this lifestyle of eating because no doctor recommendations in trying to loose weight&amp;nbsp; ever worked for me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;I've done my own version of IF.&amp;nbsp; I skip breakfast and eat a low carb lunch &amp;amp; dinner.&amp;nbsp; If I'm hungry in between my two meals I'll have a low carb snack like nuts or cheese.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;I started eating like this in Nov. (I took a day off for Thanksgiving &amp;amp; Christmas) and by May I lost 25 lbs.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;The point of interminttent fasting is to keep blood surgar down.&amp;nbsp; Every time you eat (even if it's low carb) your blood sugar goes up and can eventually cause long term health problems.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;ETA:&amp;nbsp; I don't count calories.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
