@rms1954 @In a previous post you said you had an appointment in April with a different type of doctor. Have you been in to your primary care doctor since you have had such a large weight loss? I'd advise you to get an emergency appointment. With as much loss as you have and your appetite, at your current weight, you would be a priority. Your primary care doctor can get you in for emergency help. I think waiting to see your primary doctor could have adverse effects. You could easily have an electrolyte imbalance. don't take no for an answer if you call your primary. Ask to speak to the nurse and tell him or her you are down to the weight you mentioned in your previous post. Remember, we are your friends here and we are fully supporting you. 🌺

I can't sleep at night with this foot issue. Started in one foot and ankle now both are causing sleepless nights, walking and balance issues. Finally seeing a neurologist but could not get an appt until MAY. I slept a total of about 2 hours last night. First thing upon waking up my toes are so cramped and distored in all directions I have to physically ease them back into position. I look like a freak and it hurts.

Thankfully I have gotten past it but I went through it for several months. I would have to hop out of bed and just try to walk around the room and massage calf, etc. I did try to start hydrating more, not sure if that's what helped or not. Good luck.

I have been plagued by leg and foot cramps since forever! For leg cramps, every night before bed I massage my calf area and ankle to top of foot area with Theraworx. Additionally, I have a wide variety of topicals I use as needed, such as BenGay, BioFreeze, Amish Origins cream, etc. I usually put socks on, but seem to be able to take them off through the night.

This past year I have had leg cramps like crazy. In fact I am starting to get hand cramps too.

I have found Pedialyte or pickle juice help. I can actually go back to sleep.

The problem with Pedialyte is you have to use the entire bottle within 48 hours. I generally do not drink more than a cup. So alot is wasted.

I always have a bottle of pickle juice handy. It seems I get the cramps more often now.

I'm dealing with this now. I get terrible foot cramps that actually lock up my toes. I was an avid walker but stopped when Covid hit. I'm just getting back to it now and I know I'm really out of shape. I've found that because my leg muscles are so weak from not using them, I can't walk as fast or long as I did. One thing that might help you is stretching. Also check what kind of footwear you're wearing and find something that will support your feet, especially your arches. There is also a mineral supplement that some people have found helpful, but I can't remember which one. Perhaps magnesium but not sure. When your feet cramp up, stand in place and step hard on the floor. Then walk around. I find too if I slip into padded slippers I wear, it relieves the pain and cramping.

Try taking a drink of tonic water when you have foot and or leg cramps. I get very bad cramps in my feet a calves all I do is take a drink of tonic water and the cramps go away usually before I can get back into bed. Tonic water is very inexpensive, I get the kind with the screw on cap (33 oz.) it will stay fizzy for weeks in the refrigerator. My Dr. had recommend this, and I thought he was crazy, but then I decided to give it a try. It really works, my brother and my sister also have the same cramping problem, and it works for them too.

But a big glass of Tonic water with Quinine is the only thing that will make it go away. Its in the grocery store.
