compression socks/hose

Has anyone here tried zippered compression socks?. Yout opinion?

I would think a zipper would be very irritating. Compression socks/hose should be firm, but not impossible to pull on.

If they are that hard, a zipper would be just as hard to zip up.

My mother in law was told to wear them, the knee highs. She decided it was too hard to get them on so cut them to ankle length.....

My friend needed some and bought them at Soft Surroundings. She loved them!

I never wore the zippered ones, but I did wear the toeless for a couple of years. I ordered them from Discount Surgical Supply. To put them on, I'd slip a baggie over my foot, to help the sock slide on better. Then slide the sock up the calf and move the foot part of the sock up my leg to remove the baggie. After that, move the foot of the sock back down and adjust accordingly. Easy peasy. A nurse showed me that trick immediately before I went in for my neck fusion operation.

I have venous insufficiency in one leg and use compression hose,but not zippered ones.

I wear the Legacy brand sold here on Q and have been very happy with them and the fit.

I think the zipper would be irritating to the leg.

@JeanLouiseFinch Now the toeless come with a silk half sock so it is not so hard to get on.
