She went for her 2 week check up. She told doctor the since surgery that her side hurts and her boob area on the other side hurts. After checking it they said her side is a not quit but almost a cracked rib. And the other side to but not as bad. Doctor said her scar isn't healing as good as it should be. And doctor was surprised that her symptoms hadn't start to decrease yet. They gave Ria 20 oxycodone pills. 15 days later she still has 16 pills left.she took them to the appointment with and told them these didn't do anything. So there giving her extra muscle relaxers.and told her to take Aleve. And they will see how she does.if no change they will put her on steroids. Her next follow up appointment is in January.

Opioids don't really work for me either. All they do is give me a headache and make me nauseous. She may do better with the muscle relaxers and Aleve. I would suggest that after a week of trying those, if they aren't working for her you should call her doctor. And I agree with whoever said she should probably be checked before January. Good Luck!❤️

@Pooky1, keeping Maria & you in

my prayers. I agree that maybe stepping up on the checkups would give you peace of mind. Never hesitate to call the doctor if you don't see some progress & especially if Maria is showing more signs of pain. I started Vicoden last week for my back/hip/knee issues
Very little if any relief. Prednisone didn't clear up enough inflammation. Tomorrow getting a shot iny lower back which may give more direct comfort. Both surgeon & pain doc recommend this to try to avoid surgery, to include treating a bulging disc. When it rains it pours.

I am praying that all of you kind folks suffering find relief soon.

@Pooky1, keep the faith.

Very sorry to hear that your wife's recovery is not going as quickly and as well as hoped! Everyone heals at a different rate and I'm sure this doesn't mean that anything is wrong. I know for myself, I take a long time to get over anything. It gets depressing and makes you worry but try to be positive and I am sure things will get better soon! Pain pills are not very good with me either. I tend to get very sick from them and have very little good results. Hopefully the the new medication will have a much better result! Blessings to you both!

They figure ribs got messed up when she got flipped upside down after she was knocked out. As far as pain pills she always have problems with pain pills. In the past she has got fhetenal and another super strong pain med. And they didn't work on her pain either. I had said her next follow up appointment is in January. What I forgot mention is there going to keep an eye on how well she's doing and there going to have her send pictures of her head to keep track of how she's healing. I have to take a picture of her head on Monday to send to doctor. And probably more often.
