I have had a stiff neck/pain for about a week now. I never had a stiff neck for his long. I have been taking an antibiotic for a tooth I had extracted. Come to find out that Amoxicillin can cause neck pain and headaches. I don't have headaches but this neck pain is horrible. No more Amoxiciliin for me. This is an FYI in case you ever have to take this antibiotic.

It must drive doctors nuts how different all of us are.

This is my favorite antibiotic. Never had side effects and begin to feel much better in what seems several hours.

I had to have a tooth extracted a little over two weeks ago. I was also prescribed Amoxicillin. Four days in I got a UTI. Won't be taking that anymore. That was worse than the discomfort from the extraction.

I'm allergic to that medication. Apparently it can do nasty things to some of us. Thought I was the only one. Be careful and hope your pain in the neck goes away quickly.
