Pfizer Vaxx #2 today

Had my second Pfizer shot today. Got the same nurse as first vaxx. We had a nice chat.

I had my Kindle with me to read during the 15 minute post-shot wait. I chose a comfy upholstered seat in the corner and settled in to read. People were coming and going and I wasn't paying all that much attention - engrossed in my book.

I looked up at the clock eventually and realize I had been there almost 1/2 an hour - I hadn't heard the nurse call my name - there had been a lot of people in and out of the waiting room.

Chatting with some other #2s as we were leaving - while waiting for the hospital elevator. Comparing #1 side effects, etc. Speculating on what #2 side effects will happen. The pros and cons of getting the shots on the right arm vs. the left arm.

Treated myself to a curry chicken wrap, pint of Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream, and a container of sliced watermelon ... and a nap when I got home.

Everyone is experiencing different side-effects ... after #1 - just hungry and sleepy for a few day.

Congrats on being fully vaccinated. 😁

My grandson got his second vaccine yesterday. He is 12 (turning 13 soon). All he had was a sore arm overnight.

I was extra tired, and a little achy on day 2 after my 2nd Pfizer. I'm retired , but I could have worked if I had to. Congrats on getting vaxxed.

Aside from very minor injection site soreness, I had absolutely no side effects with either Pfizer shot. I felt immediately relieved that I won't be fearing covid!!

I don't know about everyone else, but I was so relieved after I got vaccinated. I got the J&J, three weeks before they took it out of circulation for those couple weeks. I was not in the least bit nervous when the blood clot story came out. If you do some research online, it seems all of the women were on oral birth control pills. And at 66, I don't have to worry about that. I wish the media would have made that more well known, rather than scaring the ****** out of people. That still leaves a lot of the population that had no problems with it. JMO

Thank you all for getting the vaccination. My anxiety was wearing me down before I finally got my vaccine I was miserable. Then my daughter and granddaughter also got theirs. My whole family is vaccinated now. So thankful.

My Nephew had a bad reaction to the 1st Pfizer shot and called his doctor. His doctor ordered Blood Tests and noticed that he had way to many Spike Proteins in his blood and told him under no circumstances should he take the second shot. He originally took the 1st shot because he felt that he would not be able to go places and do things. Now because under Doctors orders he will not take the 2nd shot,he 's not considered fully vaccinated. I think that's crazy,because he was told for HIS HEALTH not to get that Vax. I wonder if there are others who might have a similar condition,but don't know it because I don't think anyone goes and gets a Blood test to find out. Something to think about.

Hi Alexa. The side effects--some long-term--scare me too. And what do you think about the myocarditis heart inflammation that is showing up in some younger adults getting the vaccine?

It seems that the people who can't be vaccinated due to health reasons aren't being considered. That is a type of discrimination IMO. I don't know what can be done about it, but people need to be more aware of that kind of situation. Unfortunately, some will still be judgmental, before checking out circumstances.

People must be made aware that severe side effects like blood clots and myocarditis can occur. See: CDC to hold 'emergency meeting' on heart inflammation after COVID-19 vaccines.

I pray for everyone, whether they take these shots or not. Teenage boys, in particular, seem to be at risk of this heart inflammation. Chest pain and sudden trouble breathing is a sign of heart inflammation and it requires immediate treatment in an ER. Severe sudden headache is a potential warning about a blood clot in the brain.

A woman named Cherie Romney saw her athletic 17 year old son develop blood clots on the brain, impairing his vision, and causing him to be unsteady sitting and standing, and five days after her son was released from the hospital, her husband had to be hospitalized as he developed over 100 blood clots in his lungs. She and her husband had the Moderna shot, while her son had the Pfizer shot -- all three of them on the same day. Coincidence? I don't think so.

@KKJ I have been reading about that and it scares me. My Nephew who I spoke about has 2 young sons one is 13 and I pray because of what he experienced that he will not have the child vaccinated.

Another thread hijack to try to turn it argumentative and get it removed. Happens every time there is a positive thread about people who are happy about getting vaccinated. A group comes in and changes the subject and starts talking among themselves.

Hijacked? That's a bit overly dramatic. And no, not trying to get anything shut down (speaking for myself). As someone told me awhile back when I responded similarly to a thread of mine being "hijacked"--- Threads will often go off the original topic path, it's just what happens, otherwise it will disappear into thread oblivion. I mean, if you stick strictly to this thread topic and not discuss anything else, what more can be said after "got my shot". Ok, guess that's all that needs to be said here.
