I can't seem to get a consistent reading. I get 99, 101, 98, back to 101.5. Not very accurate.

@rms1954 That is NOT unusual. Your body temperature changes throughout the day.

If it's a point and shoot it also depends on the temperature of the air around you at the time.

I know that. But these were all taken within seconds of one another.

Not good if those temps are repeated after each other.

The Energen Temporal thermometer is excellent. It reads the same as my mercury thermometers.

I have the expensive Braun , i wouldn't know what my tempeture is, different every time , 95 to 98 , and i mean within seconds of each reading , should have taken it back.

When DH had an outpatient procedure about 9 months ago, the nurses were complaining about their temp scanners....they were not accurate.
