Has any one had shortness of breath , with no normal medical explanations. I have had this off and on for 2 months , my blood oxygen levels are good , i had a stress test , and it came back normal , iam waiting for pulmonary doctor , it took 6 weeks to get in. I now have this everyday and i can't tell you how unpleasant my life has become. I am thinking auto immune , but who knows. My mom had pulmonary fibrosis which was caused by an auto immune disease , non smoker as i am . The thing that throws me is my blood oxygen is normal.

Yes i was in the emergency room several weeks ago , and they suggested i get one on the way out. But i have had this for 3 months off and on , like i said it has gotten worse , but my bloood oxygen stays 99% to 100.almost all of the time , the whole thing is just weird. My appt is 1/27m if i can wait. Inhalers don't seem to do much , but i just started in case it is some weird kind of asthma.

Have you been tested for asthma or allergies? When my asthma acts up, I get out of breath. I also have many allergies- grass, tree, mold dogs, the list go on and on. The allergies trigger my asthma and so does stress. Smoke, campfires, even dirty furnace filter will trigger my asthma. I know how it feels to be out of breath. A pulmary doctor is the one that found my asthma. I hope you feel better soon.

Mine is getting worse , but i hold off going to reg doctor if i can make it till 1/27 , In 63 years i rarely have had to go to doctor , and of all times to be sick , i rarely go out unless for the essentials ,because of Covid. Any other time in my life there would be no reason to worry about going to medical appts.

I couldn't stop coughing. I went to my primary doctor who sent me for a cat scan of my lungs. Something showed up. They waited a few weeks and did another scan. What they saw was still there. They sent me to a pulmary doctor. He saw my scan and I had scarring from pnenomia. He did a breathing test and said I had asthma. The breathing test was nothing to worry about. Just breath into a tube as hard as you can. He gave me pulmicort inhaler. It does take a couple weeks to work. I have a rescue inhaler I keep with me in case I get near smoke or fumes. Yes, when my asthma is acting up and I climb stairs, I almost have to sit down till I catch my breath.

Dry cough? Shortness of breath? These are classic symptoms of covid. It is possible that the covid test you did yielded a false negative! Really. I suggest insisting on a couple more covid tests. Also, your oxygen finger measurement device might not be working properly.

Why would one worry about an "essential medical appointment", but not worry about going out for the other "essentials"?

hckynut
