@CLHS68 So, I saw where you were talking about back pain.

When I was 18 I was in a terrible car accidient, I broke 3 vertebra, messed up my knee and a few other boo boos.

I was already (for years) under the treatment of an orthopedic group of Drs. So, a few years ago my Dr had a compound made for me.

This is the way some medicines are going instead of swallowing a group of pills.

It's a cream you put on your back and it releases the muscles and the pain subsides for awhile.

I tell people for a time the pain subsides, I 'hear the angels sing'.

It's better than any pain medicine, believe me I know.

If you want me to I will post what's in it so you can ask your Dr if he will write you a prescription to a local compound center near you (I get mine from Leesburg, Va). They mail the tubes to me.

Because it's a compound, I guess, insurance (I have 2 of them) will not pay for it.

It's a little expensive (about $100 per tube), I get two at a time.

But it will last a pretty long time. Just let me know. Maybe your insurance will pay for it.

As if I didn't have enough pain, in March (at the height of COVID) I broke another vertebra worse than the other three.

I'm lucky I can walk. I'm in terrible pain a lot of the time but this cream works great.

Let me know and I'll tell you the ingredients.

My daughter broke her knee skiing. She was in terrible pain. Her Dr gave her some and it really helped her pain.

I've taken a tiny bit (less than a dime size) on my neck pain and it's gone.

Just let me know.

OK, so the cream I mention is only available by prescription.

I don't know if it's only available in a Compound Center, but that's where mine comes from after my orthopedic Dr sent my prescription to them.

Here is what it says:

DICLO/KETO/LIDO - 0.15/5/2.25% Cream

I think it's mostly just a muscle relaxer. The pain I endure are the muscles contracting like rocks.

I think this just absorbs in the skin and releases the muscles. It has lidocain in it, I know that much.

I've told many people about it. I have told total strangers while sitting in a Drs office waiting to be seen.

It isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny. I have a plastic disc in my neck to protect the bone. Another car accident fractured that vertebra.

You have no idea...Ha!

But I think I'm lucky because what could have happened is way worse than what did.

If my back didn't hurt all of the time I could paint and do a lot of stuff. But it locks down and ............ Oh! Boo Hoo! I need to get over myself.

I hope the other's who asked for the information sees this too.

I can't remember who they were.

I haven't been on here much lately, I've been busy doing a whole lot of 'stuff'. Ha! I am going to write a book on two things, one would be how to ignore messes and the other thing would be how to waste time on useless stuff.

But...my late husband used to say the people who would be interested would already be busy wasting time and ignoring THEIR messes.

Thank you for posting this @Annabellethecat66 . What this looks like it is is diclofenac (for arthritis), ketorolac (for pain) and lidocaine. @Kachina624 @Mindy D @CLHS68 you all asked about this, too.

I've tried every pill, injection, and cream, gel, ointment known to man including narcotics. The only thing that helped me was Lidocaine patches which are expensive. I found i could cut them in half and still get good relief. However, my insurance wouldn't cover them and, at the time, I couldn't afford them. I may try again and put up a fuss if insurance won't cover.

Thank you for posting this @Annabellethecat66 . What this looks like it is is diclofenac (for arthritis), ketorolac (for pain) and lidocaine. @Kachina624 @Mindy D @CLHS68 you all asked about this, too.

If I got this right, the diclofenac is Voltaren and the ketorolac is Toradol and then the lidocaine. This is interesting and happy it is working.

@Kachina624 I have tried Lidocaine patches way back at least 4, 5 years ago.

At one point I had several boxes of them. My problem was they wouldn't stay on.

I remember I'd find them on my leg, on my waist.

Once I was walking and (promise) it came out of my pants leg. At first I didn't know what it was. Then I figured it was the only thing it could be.

I bent down (not an easy task with such back pain) and pulled it out. I can't remember where I was or if anyone was with me.

No matter what I did those things just would not stay on my back.

As far as the cost. I don't remember that. I do remember having a lot of them. I think I eventually gave them to my PA and asked her to dispose of them.

Nothing has helped the way this cream does.

Sometimes my neck will start aching. That's from another car accident a few years back. An old man that shouldn't be driving ran into the back of the man behind me who was carrying welding machines and equipment. So strange, the truck behind me hit my back of car then went around and clipped me on the passenger side and the front. At some point the old man who caused it, his car hit me again and hit the woman (along with me hitting her) in front of me. Phew! It was a mess.

I said I was fine even though I did get knocked out. Something weird....So I guessed I was knocked out and I heard a voice coming from my car that said, "Linda! Linda answer me! I see where you've been in an accident. We've notified the police and they are coming along with an ambulance."

That was before anyone was there. It was from whatever that thing is when you buy your car. It had something to do with being able to call on my car phone...whatever. So if you ever wonder....'does it really work'...well mine did. It's strange hearing your car call you by name...Ha!

I had to have a piece of plastic put in the vertebra in my neck. The surgeon said that if I hadn't found out about the vertebra being bent like it was, the slightest hit could have caused me to be paralyzed. Then bone grew around it. It still shows up on x-rays but it's OK.

The way I found out about is was my back Dr as an after-thought decided to do an MRI to make sure the accident didn't affect the 3 vertebrae from an accident when I was 18.

.I rub that cream onto my neck and the pain is gone for a few hours.

I hope those of you who are in such bad pain are able to get some of this cream. I promise you, it will relieve your pain even if it's for a few hours, it really works.

@Annabellethecat66. Thanks so much for posting the formula. I'll ask my doctor about it. I'm supposed to avoid NSAIDs. I'd give anything for some relief.

@Kachina624 It's so frustrating to have such bad back pain.

I've always said if I had a cut other's could see showing how bad the back pain is, everyone would be like, "Wow! How do you exist with such pain". But the average person can't see the pain we have.

With me, they can touch my back and feel the tight muscle.

I know (and I'm sure you and other's know) people mean well when they say, "Oh! I know your pain. I had a back ache the other day."

I'm like, "Well, this isn't just a back ache. This is terrible pain that never really ends. It varies on how horrible it is....but it's always there".
