In my area of WV, no.

Covid testing is only required prior to procedures in same day surgery, and the operating room.

I had my mammogram done in July. I didn't need to have a Covid test done. Open entering facility, there was a desk...asks name and why you are there. Takes temps, asks a couple of questions and then gave me a sticker to put on my shirt with the date on it and let me in.

It might be. You should check. You and the technician will be in close proximity. Not to mention there will have been other people passing through/ using that machine before you. If it were me, I would find out their protocol as soon as I could AND try to schedule the FIRST appointment of the day. hopefully they wipe the machine down last thing the day before so it would be the cleanist it's going to be all day first thing in the morning.

@MOMMAVik ....the hospital I work for does not require a Covid test for a mamogram. It is not an invasive procedure.

I'm going in September for a mammo and sonogram. I wasn't told I needed a test, I was told I needed to wear a mask. Call the facility where your having the test to make sure.

I have had a mammogram and ultrasounds since this all started and not needed to have a test. They have me wear a mask and I get my temp checked before entering the building, plus the usual questions about being in contact and how I feel. That's it.

I had my mammogram last week...there was a person at the door asking if I had been ill, or had a fever recently, other than the mask that was it.

I highly doubt you would need a test for a mammogram or any other routine test...

my husband is having a colonoscopy in a few month, for that he does have to have a covid test, maybe because he will be in the hospital for a few hours.

@MOMMAVik I just had CT scan and NOT required to have COVID test but having outpatient surgery and COVID test IS required.

I live in Arizona and had a mammogram 3 weeks ago....no Corona virus test was required....prior to having the test...

I believe that is because a colonoscopy is done under anesthesia.

o, not required. I would think it only for invasive procedures when you'll need to be intubated which puts health care staff at greater risk of being exposed to respiratory secretions.
