Sadly, it's too late for my husband. He did all that's recommended to maintain a healthy life, except for choosing ancestors. His grandmother died of Alzheimer's and it looks like my husband inherited it. He earned a PhD, taught at an Ivy League university for over three decades, but can no longer deal with everyday challenges. It is a horrible illness.
