I have a female family member (40ish years old) that is having a lot of health issues...fatigue, sore joints, dry mouth and a few other things. She does have a doctor appointment but I sugguested she go to WEB MD and or the Mayo Clinic website and put in her symptoms in the symptom checker, but it is not that easy...the way to use it is by alphabetical letters....like if you had one symptom. Is there some other way to google multiple health issues?

thanks!

Use the word and between them. If you give me the symptoms I will find information for you. Please be as specific as possible and any know health information and medications will help me get you the information. I don't use the "ands" when I search. Sjogren's would be a possibility. The more you give me the better the results.

You can just put all the symptoms into google and hit enter and see what pops up. With just those three the main thing that pops up is Sjogren's syndrome.

I wake up at night and it feels like someone has glued my throat closed. I’ve tried humidifier, oils you name it.

My toes so cold they hurt. Not my feet just my toes.

And I have extreme fatigue.

I am not trying to diagnose @Mom2Dogs but just share my experience 😊. I was diagnosed hypothyroid and my symptom was that out of the blue I woke up one morning with every joint in my body swollen, stiff, and sore. I could barely bend any part of my body.

I was tested, among other things, for RA and Lupus. Just as an aside my doctor decided to test my thyroid. That was the only thing that came back out of whack. A small dose of levothyroxine solved the issue and that was almost 15 years ago and no problems since then.

I hope her symptoms turn out to be something simple. 😊

The symptoms that you have described could be attributed to a number of different health issues. The best thing to do is to wait for the appt with the doctor. Doctor Google can come up with way too many things and can cause anxiety when it might not be necessary. I know waiting isn't easy and one wants an immediate diagnosis. I know I have been there.

@Mom2Dogs wrote:

@Mindy D ..gosh, thank you. This is what she told me. She also has chrons disease! When I tried I didn't get to far.

She wakes up literally every hour all night long bc my joints hurt so bad. I’m not talking my hips and shoulders. It’s every joint in my body. Elbows, knuckles, ankles, all of them.

I also have severe dry mouth. I have to keep water by my bed. I wake up at night and it feels like someone has glued my throat closed. I’ve tried humidifier, oils you name it.

My toes so cold they hurt. Not my feet just my toes.

And I have extreme fatigue. Not just a feeling that I didn’t get enough sleep one night just fatigue. I can’t explain it

@Mom2Dogs

Age, female, extreme dry mouth and throat, extreme fatigue, toes hurting, widespread joint paint are all listed in the technical overview of Sjogren's. I did not see a reference to coldness in toes in my search yet. Here's just one paragraph:

Musculoskeletal. Articular manifestations occurred in 30–60% of SS patients with arthralgia as the most common symptom reported and involving small and large joints equally. In addition, an intermittent symmetrical non-erosive polyarthropathy may be observed in 15–30% of the patients and affects mainly small joints (8). The most frequently affected joints are metacarpophalangeal joints, shoulders, wrists, and metatarsophalangeal joints (53,60,61). Muscular involvement is documented in 27% of SS patients. Likewise, myalgias are frequent while myositis is rarely diagnosed in SS. SS-related myopathy is usually mild and responds well to steroids and immunosuppressive drugs. The presence of significant muscle weakness and dramatic muscle enzyme elevations in SS patient raises the possibility of myositis (62). Hypothyroidism should be also ruled-out.

 From the National Library of a Medicine comes this overview of symptoms seen in Sjogren's. Everything you cite can be found with Sjogren's. Your friend's age, gender and symptoms can all be seen in this condition. This does not mean there are no other conditions that meet your criteria. Most that meet some of your criteria are autoimmune disorders or combinations of disorders. Some are conditions appearing due to infection.
