I've used Flonase with my other prescription allergy meds. All Flonase does is keep the inflamation in the sinuses down which equals less mucus.

Ask your doctor.

i used Flonase for about two years and it reallt helped my allergies. I stopped when my opthalmologist told me it causes cataracts...which I now have in my left eye. When he was checking my eyes, he ased me if I used Flonase. I switched to Dr Neils instead.

Flonase was prescribed for me a few years ago. It gave me headaches, so I stopped using it.

It was then prescribed again a few weeks ago. It didn't help my post-nasal drip problem at all, and made my sore throat much, much worse.. The ENT told me that it can irritate a sore throat. I rarely have problems with meds, so clearly flonase is not right for me.

It didn't make me drowsy, though, even though I used it in combination with other meds that can cause drowsiness. But everyone reacts differently to medication.

My DH uses Flonase, both the pills and the spray and has (as needed) for years. With the pills he experiences what we call a lowering of his mood. Not as happy as he normally is, not as engaged as normal so he only uses it when really necessary. He uses the spray far more often and finds it effective with little to no side effects. His sinuses are ruined from flying across country so much for work.....
