I exercise and eat healthy. I'm 64 and have been with scleroderma for almost twenty years. I live with neuropathy and inflammation every day. I don't take any Rx meds now but I did for the first decade of my condition. I have done a lot of research on my own, I belong to a support group and I see a GP every year for a wellness check for my blood test numbers. Everything has been good so far. Pain comes and goes but it's not like it use to be....TG! I think that's because of my diet and exercise.

A friend told me about the app Fit On. Most of it's pretty hardcore workouts but I found a 17 minute yoga routine for backs called Get Your Back Back that's been amazing for my back (mostly because I have horrible hip flexors due to back fusions and nerve damage).

At one point I learned self-hypnosis with a pain psychologist, you can find videos to do this on You Tube as well. An app called CBTi has meditation, both before bed and short ones you can do, my therapist recommended it to me. I'm waiting for biofeedback to be started at my therapist's office, can't wait to try it.

I have not used apps.

I have used yoga to practice mindful breathing which really seemed to help

I also use meditation. It has really helped manage stress. I went for training with this and they came and helped design a meditation space at my house.

I still walk the labyrinth and give my fears and concerns to God.

doxie

for me mindfulness meditation results in a general feeling of wellness and relaxation. i do have multi-site arthritis and allowing stress and worry to get the upper hand worsens pain, relaxation improves it. mindfulness is great to augment my feeling of wellness

I put myself on an anti-inflammatory diet to reduce inflammation in my body. I do not have chronic pain however I have other signs of inflammation. But since pain is one symptom of inflammation perhaps such a diet would be helpful for that. Others I know have gotten tested for food sensitivities and have adjusted their diets based upon their individual results. Many have had a reduction in pain (and other symptoms).
