I appreciate you posting this question as I was not familiar with the MK-4 form.

This is what I found from a company called Thorne.

Is your vitamin K2 the MK-4 form or the MK-7 form?

Thorne offers both forms of vitamin K2 in different products. The end result of vitamin K2 synthesis is two vitamin K2 subtypes known as menaquinones, either MK-4 or MK-7. Both subtypes are nearly completely absorbed in the body, with peak serum concentration for MK-4 occurring at two hours after ingestion, and for MK-7 at four hours after ingestion. However, whereas MK-4 disappears from the bloodstream in about 8 hours, MK-7 can remain in the bloodstream for as long as 72 hours. Thorne uses both subtypes of Vitamin K2. Thorne’s 3-K Complete contains significantly more MK-4 than most other multiple-K products on the market, in addition to MK-7 as MenaQ7®, the form used in the majority of MK-7 research. Both are soy free unlike many others on the market.

I didn't check out their prices.

https://nutritionj.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1475-2891-11-93

I’d never even heard of MK-4. Have you?

I ordered the 720 size of K2-MK7 from Procaps. Andrew has never had this size, a two year supply. This is a great price (13.8 cents/capsule). Costco has recently added Weider K2-MK7, 60 capsules for $21.99 (18 cents/capsule).

After reading @VaBelle35 post about it not be offered in 2020, I'm glad I'm set for a couple of years! Thanks!

I also ordered the 1,000 count Ca-Mg. That's all for now from Procaps, but I'll be ordering again in January.

Still researching but definitely not ordering ProCaps K2 product again. We use a lot more MO4 than MK7 and there are a couple others ahead of MK7, too.

“Plasma half-life. They keep repeating the fact that MK-7 has a much longer plasma half-life than MK-4. This is true – but it’s a self-serving argument. MK-4 is rapidly soaked up by many organs and tissues, so it will be quickly removed from the blood.”

Thorne is a very good company and I already use some of their supplements.

Not getting the Thorne 3-K. We don’t need (or want) to supplement MK-1, which this has.

We need much more 4 than 7. Research saws Andrew’s previous comments that we don’t need more than 100mcg was correct. We don’t need the 200 he now offers.

There is a lot involved but I am now thinking I’ll try Innovix Labs Full Spectrum Vitamin K2. It contains both 4 & 7 and in the correct forms. Not expensive either.
