Pomegranate Juice?

It sounds like such a miracle juice...very heart healthy. But it's so expensive, especially the Pom Wonderful brand. Does anyone know of any other brands that aren't as expensive?

I buy POM at Aldi and Costco. Cheaper there. I drink a mixture of POM, Cranberry juice and water.

@scatcat Can you please tell me, roughly, where in the Costco stores the pomegranate juice is located? I've been several times, must have overlooked it. Thanks.

Pom juice Is found in the refrigerated section. Right now, the fruit is available too. The juice is good for you, but the fruit seeds are even better.

How much POM juice do you drink daily?

I've seen articles that 4oz a day is good.

I also drink diet Cranberry juice & water all day.

I might consider adding POM.

A big container would last about 2 weeks at 4 oz a day.

Sam's has it marked down now, I should get a few.

I'm sure I don't drink 4 Oz a day. I mix a 1/2 cup of cranberry juice, 1/4 cup of POM in a pitcher and add about a quart of water. I squeeze a little lime or lemon in too. I don't drink pop or LaCroix so I drink this with dinner, lunch etc.

I buy a big bottle at Costco for $10 (I actually think it's on sale right now). It lasts me a long time.

I do not mind spending money on health food. People will spend $5 on a Big Mac or Starbucks and think nothing of it, then complain when blueberries are $5.

The POM brand is good, but I like the Smart Juice brand. All the others, the so-called "natural" brands taste like swill.

As a matter of fact, I like the varieties Smart Juice offers: pomegranate, blueberry, tart cherry...and they have a lot of "blends" which are popular, too. I like their antioxidant blend. Each variety is priced, in stores, at 5.99 for a 33.3 oz bottle.

These juices can be very expensive but, as another poster mentioned, they can be beneficial even in 4-oz servings.

My dh has been drinking tart cherry juice for aches and pains for years, he swears by it. Within the past few years he'd developed prostate problems. Higher than normal PSA's. I read that pomegranite juice is very good for the prostate. Well, he has been drinking that for the past several months too. He just had a blood test last week and his numbers are WAY down! Amazing!

Thank you for telling us about this juice brand. I just looked the labels up online and there are no added sweetness and the calories are low. I’m going to look for them at Publix.

I've been drinking the POM brand, but recently tried R.W. Knudsen that I purchased at Sprouts. It was slightly less expensive than POM and I like the taste. I buy the Pure Pomegranate. Drink 6oz in the morning with 2tsp of elderberry extract mixed in. Great mixture of antioxidants and I'm feeling the benefits of this daily dose.

I really appreciate this feedback. I've been researching all the different brands. I got Pom Wonderful on sale & I'm diluting it with water.
