Would that be the same benefit you would get out of the fluidity bar so i don't have to buy two fitness equipment i would have it all in one. So if someone can answer this for me that would be great thank you.

Hi bequeen,

The only difference that I can determine is that the Fluidity Bar would provide more stability compared to the bar attachment for the Aeropilates. However, I think if you already have the AP, the bar would be a great compliment to it for it's diversity.

I don't have either, but I do use the cross bar of my heavy treadmill to do ballet type exercises and some are enough to actually move the treadmill, so because the AP machine probably weighs less than my treadmill, I would assume the same would happen.

Hope this helps!

I took ballet lessons for many years and I understand the philosophy of the bar, so I'm always intrigues and tempted to purchase when I see the presentations.

I've read the reviews on HSN and would also like some input please from fellow posters who are currently using it. My only hesitation for now is that in the event that I may need to return it, the shipping is soooo expensive.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

It's like everything else, it works if you use it. Fluidity is based on ballet dnd Callanetics which you can the DVD and do at home

I have one and never use it, but that's because I just don't enjoy barre workouts. However, if you already know you enjoy barre, the Fluidity Bar itself is really an excellent piece of equipment. It is very sturdy and easy to maneuver around. You can change the height of the barre with a couple of clicks. So, if you already know you like that piece of equipment, it's a good one to get.

The workouts themselves are okay; there's four of them in the initial package, if I recall correctly. (Seat & Thigh was always my fave.) However, there's lots of barre workouts out there if you know where to look. (Try totalfitnessdvds.com - Collage Video used to be a good source but they are going out of business.)

Your response is very informative and helps to answer my questions.

Height adjustment is definitely a concern for me because I'm 5'9" without shoes. There are times when I wear my sneakers to do these exercises, which increases my height a bit. Right now I'm using the stability bar that's attached to my treadmill and although it's a good height for most of what I want to do, it's not adjustable, so it's limiting.

Stability is another issue. We thought of installing a bar in our home, however, all of our walls are plaster so that's a no go for sure!

Thanks again glitzandglam!

Have one. LOVE IT. It is very well made and easy to adjust. It is solid. I like a piece of equipment that challenges me when I want to move it around. The DVDs that came with it are pretty good. I wanted to do more, though, so I got on Amazon and bought a small collection of different workouts. Tracey Mallet and Cathe Friedrich are my favorites.
