Two Benadryl tablets work as a sleep aid for me. Also, stop obsessing over it. You are going to your doctor next month and you discuss it with him or her.

a hard time going to sleep? I will talk to my doctor next month when I see him. I started taking melatonin-it says for occassional times but it is getting to be almost every night. I did managed to have 3 nights that I fell asleep in a row but I am back to taking it again. Some say it is my mind since my husband died and I blame it on the wind coming through many vents. My son says he can't hear them and I hope he is telling the truth. I am going Nuts. He is away for he went to see a friend who is ill with no cure. His friend wanted to see everyone. For Bob it is since high school.

Any hints for me would be appreciative.

I think is is a good idea to speak with your doctor concerning your sleep patterns. I use to take melatonin but it really did not work so some nights I drink a cup of ginger and turmeric tea. On occasions, I make my own hibiscus tea and that really helps!

I bet you don't have to be any where so you can sleep when you are tired. I doubt you want to take medication to sleep, if you do you are at greater risk for falls. I have trouble falling asleep too, sometime I don't fall asleep until 4 or 5 in the morning, but I sleep till noon. As far as the sound of the wind through the vents, try wearing ear plugs.
