Or nutritional powder/supplement? Hi Everyone, I'd like to have something on hand to add to my fruit smoothies. Or to almond milk to blend with ice? I used to buy the 365 Brand Whey (Whole Foods), but I haven't purchased it in a long time. Any ideas? TIA

I like the Pure protein pretty well. I have the Frosty Chocolate. It's kind of a matter of personal preference. Like I hate Injury brand...except for the chicken soup flavor.

I usually just buy the Premium Protein ready to drink ones at Costco. I like the "grab and go" ease.I like the calories..120,2grams of sugar, almost no fat. I am looking for a truly clean tasting flavored whey protein powder to add to recipes.

I like the Unjury protein powder. You can buy a sample kit to see if you like them. I also like Spiru tein powder. lucky Vitamin site sells packets so you can sample the flavors. They have the best variety.

NutriBiotic Rice Protein Powder is a good vegan option. Mixes well. Tastes good. I tried the Spiru-tein, but even blending in a Vitamix, it still didn't blend well. Weird. Give me Nutibiotic rice protein instead.

When I add protein powder to my smoothies, I always use Tara's Organic Whey Protein. Available at Whole Foods and Amazon, although much pricier at WF. Comes in unflavored, Bourbon Vanilla and Chocolate.

Another tip....get a trial packet of the brand you want to see if it agrees with you. Sometimes, protein powders can, er ummm, make you "talk while you walk" and it can get smelly, as well!! Blame it on the added sugars or whey. Also, I would avoid any w/ soy isolates...or really anything with soy. Sorry for the TMI, but just wanted to share my experience.

Sids-Thank you--and it's not TMI at all to me b/c I have a funny tummy and not everything agrees with it. So this is good to keep in mind. So many are SOOOO dang expensive that I would hate to purchase a large container and hate it. Usually WF is good with returns, if needed. But I do know that they sample and sometimes have smaller packets of things to try first.

NOW pea protein by far. 24 grams protein, no sugar,120 cal. Needs a blender to mix and something tasty to mix it with (like fruit) if you are touchy about stuff tasting "good". No dairy.

I rotate among Vega One, Vega Sport, Sunwarrior, and Plant Fusion. I keep them all on hand. Plant Fusion tastes the best IMO. Vega sport is great when I'm working out a lot because it's loaded with BCAA, which are great for the body. Vega One is lower in protein, but it's the equivalent of a multi-vitamin, and includes an amazing amount of pro-biotics and greens, so if I'm not eating as well as I should, it's a great one to have.
