Could just be a benign cyst.

You may need an ultrasound.

But - I would encourage you to call your doctor's office and make an appointment. It could be absolutely nothing, but you do need to find out. Good luck to you - make the appointment and don't put it off!

I get breast pain often, especially while on vacation. I have had this checked out many times. My doctor told me that too much caffeine can lead to breast pain for some women.

I am sure she is correct. I drink a lot of iced tea on vacation. When I go back to water, the pain goes away.

If you are taking in too much caffeine, you could cut back and see if the pain goes away. Also have yourself checked out, just to be sure.

i have had a breast biopsy and I also get localized pain in that area of trauma.

Yep, have it from time to time. Okay, monthly. Nearly like PMS but I'm post menopausal. Someone forgot to notify the girls.

My dr recommended lymphatic drainage. Your lymph system transports lymph fluid. Because I'm a D cup and wear supportive bras, the girls get a little tender when excess fluid has no where to go.

I limit my caffeine intake when possible. I'd die without coffee. There is a great YT video on lymphatic drainage by Athena Jezick. She is a licensed LMT. I have a local naturopath who offers lymphatic drainage as well from 15 min. to 1 hr.

Give it a try.

Go see a doctor, if it helps; breast pain is not one of the signs of breast cancer. I read somewhere that most women experiece breast pain or soreness at some point. There are many causes. In my case, it was when I was in my 20's and it was an epidermal cyst. I felt the soreness but I didn't feel the cyst. With my mom, it happened when she was 60ish and it ended up being calcium deposits. They disolved on their own. It was hormonal with my bff. One of the "joys" of being a woman.

I had a mammogram last week.I told the nurse that all the 3 times I had a mammogram at that location I mentioned that I have experienced tenderness in my left breast for about 4 years.

They dismissed it every time.I asked this time if a mammogram would detect a simple cyst (it means filled with clear fluid). She said it would certainly show it.

Then I told her that last year when I was in Italy I had a private ultrasound at a clinic. The doctor showed me the picture of a large simple cyst.It was 3 and a half cm.long.

He told me that simple cysts don't show on mammograms because they get flattened. The nurse kept saying that cysts can disappear and reapper later.

I don't believe that at all.

She also said that if they saw my cyst every time and they don't think it is dangerous, they would not mention it.

I think I had the right to know I have a big cyst. For years I thought it could be cancer. My aunt died young of breast cancer.

I haven't heard any results yet.The nurse probably wrote in my report that I have a cyst.I cut down on coffee. There is a post here about someone who also has a cyst and the dr. told her it could be caused by coffee

@Mothertrucker - Wow if it was 2007 that would have been my post. There was also a slight discharge. Since my friend worked at the Dr. office she got me in for a checkup. They sent me for an ultrasound and found a lump.

I went in for a biopsy. They got the results and scheduled me for a lumpectomy. Unfortunately I had to go through that twice as the margins weren't enough. Then I went through radiation.

Please get a checkup ASAP - it might be nothing, could be a clogged duct - but let the Dr. check and decide. Good Luck.
