Sonicare for me. It was recommended to me by a few different dental pros. I own an older Flexcare. I can use Diamondclean brush heads on it, but I'm not a fan of those. I prefer the regular kind.

I have several different toothbrushes. My dentist even gave me one of those expensive electronic one's. He said 2 Thanksgivings ago I brought in the most canned items for charity, thereby getting the free fancy toothbrush thingy.

I hate all electronic toothbrushes. I prefer to use my hand. Just me, I guess.

Anyway, this brings me to my complaint. Why in the name of Heaven do regular just plain old toothbrushes cost so much money? I mean, it's just some plastic holding plastic bristles.....right?

That's a big complaint (gripe) of mine....along with razor blades, but that's for another time.....

It seems like every year I end up donating to Goodwill some kind of (still in box .... unused toothbrush, electric thingy).....

I used an Oral B for years. Just bought a Sonicare Diamond Clean when they had them for around $100 during Amazon Prime.

I think both clean teeth just as well. The handle on my Oral B 8000 is bigger then the handle on the Sonicare so the Sonicare is easier to hold but the Oral B has some rubber on it which makes it not slip out of your hands like the Sonicare does.

I still use dental brushes when I eat something.

I also use a dental scaler with a magnifying mirror to remove plaque.

I have not been to the dentist again in several years even though we have Ins.

When my dentist retired I did not go for 10 yrs. I finally went for a cleaning. It did not take long. They asked if I could come in & show their patients how to keep their teeth clean. They could not believe I had not seen a dentist for 10 yrs.

I'm 63yo. I have all of my real teeth, including all four wisdoms. More importantly, is that I have never had a cavity in my life. I do not have one single filling in any of my teeth. I attribute my good teeth to an entire lifetime of fluoride treatments and fluoride oral care products, along with doing regular flossing and using interdental picks/brushes. I haven't been to a dentist in more than ten years and believe my Sonicare has also helped with that.

eta- All is not entirely well because old age has started showing on thinning enamel and receding gums.

As much as I love my Sonicare, which I have been using for 10+ years, you can't replace dental visits with a great toothbrush.Trust me you CANNOT.

I hate going to the dentist, therefore I do all I can to care for my teeth. Only the dentist can remove stains between the teeth, plaque, check for gum disease etc. 10 years without a dentist visit is NOT recommended. Yes, Sonicare is my toothbrush of choice.
