I'm like that sometimes and it's awful. I usually just eat till I'm not hungry. Not overdoing it, but not being too mindful.

Then I look like I am right now...Not happy with the added weight.

So I'm watching what I eat now for an upcoming event and now I have to force myself to eat. One extreme to the next!

Good luck. Popcorn does sound good!

I feel the same way sometimes too! It's irritating, I try to eat the same things/proportions on a weekly basis as I have been trying to take off 10 lbs. I weigh in on Monday morning...this week I had 2 extra lbs on me, grrrrr. It makes me want to fast but I know that is not the way to lose weight and I know I would never last, ha!

How about celery and peanut butter or fresh carrots, I try to keep those things on hand when I need a snack. Good luck, if you find the magic potion, let me know!

I hate those days - when no matter what I eat that's "right" doesn't fill me up.

My advice to myself is pretty much always the same. Figure out what it is that you really want and treat yourself to about 50 calories of it. Sometimes that means half a piece of lightly buttered toast, sometimes a small piece of chocolate, a cracker with something yummy on it (hummus often works for me). Then I add a piece of fruit and a cup of hot tea. All in all, maybe 150 calories and I'm usually okay then.

Are you having plenty of protein? Another suggestion, make sure you have enough water, or lemon water, or herbal tea. A lot of times we think we are hungry, but we need water. I always have a mug of lemon water or tea or coffee (I have just one regular coffee each day) or decaf, or herbal tea, or orange water in my mug. All day long. I prefer hot beverages, even lemon water. I just don't like drinking cold water.) As soon as my mug is empty, I fill it again with water or herbal tea, etc.

I have found that when I have wheat, it can make me hungry. For instance, I used to have lots of bread, and I really watch that now. Some days I have no bread at all.

My breakfast used to be cereal with milk & sugar & toast. This was a long time ago, but I sure remember it. I loved that, but it sure made me hungry.

For breakfast I usually have two eggs. Then, if I am still hungry I have a small amount of Greek plain yogurt and I stir in a couple tablespoons of ground flax seed and a couple tablespoons of sliced almonds, maybe a little diced apple or a couple strawberries chopped, and usually a sprinkle of stevia.

If I want a treat, or sweet something, I always have 85% extra-dark chocolate on hand. One or two squares is satisfying and it does not cause cravings for more (for me at least). That, with a cup of hot tea or coffee is a delicious treat.

For lunch, again, make sure you have enough protein. I usually have protein (like leftover chicken, or left over beef, or ham, or tuna mixed with diced celery & onion & mayo) & maybe cheese on lots of greens. I add what ever good salad things I have on hand... green pepper, sweet onion, etc.

If I am hungry during the day or evening for a snack, I also like to make a minute muffin. This recipe is pretty common I think, it is made with ground flax, ground almond flour, an egg, packet of stevia, baking powder, coconut oil, cinnamon or other add-ins like a few berries. I sometimes add cocoa powder, peanut butter or a packet of true orange. There are unlimited variations on this. But, again, this is low carb, and it does not have wheat or sugar.

Wheat & sugar are the two things that I really watch.

Nantucket Shore, I have occasional days like that...had a day like that last week. I just can't fill up...even though I'm eating enough protein, etc. I usually try eating a hard boiled egg or beef jerkey if I have it on hand (high protein, low carbs)...or some cocoa dusted roasted almonds that I buy at Walmart.

One thing that makes me full is having a chai tea latte. I make regular tea, then add some spices that I have mixed together, and then add artificial sweetener and about a teaspoon or two of International Delight Cold Stone creamer. It really is filling and satisfying. The creamer is only 1.5 gm. fat per tablespoon, 6 carbs, and 0 protein...35 calories.

Usually that hunger sensation passes the next day. Sometimes I think it is a matter of listening to your body.

Light string cheese, a banana or an apple, a dill pickle slice, an akmak whole wheat cracker. Have you tried the Fiber One 90 calorie bars? They are yummy from the box or heated in the microwave. They have a drizzle of icing on them and come in flavors like lemon, cinnamon bun, chocolate chip or chocolate fudge. They are individually wrapped and really feel like a guilty pleasure.

When I have a day like that while dieting ~ I eat ! My body is telling me something is missing and I personally feel it is a good idea to have a "day off" and go ahead and eat whatever you want. Start back up tomorrow with the diet ~ the world isn't going to end and if it does, you will be glad you ate something good.

The chocolate and strawberry ones are also good but I prefer the vanilla; the grandkids love these also......I find them very filling when hungry...this company also makes bars but I find them not to be the nutritional goldmine the shakes are......they come in little cartons; just put in a straw and enjoy.....
