A lot of talk recently about re-wiring our brains to healthier thinking. I believe in this. My work friend and I formed a two-woman IDC club. When we find ourselves needlessly worrying about things we have zero control over or imaginary problems, we remind ourselves - IDC or I Don't Care! Helps us snap out of it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Need to stop worrying</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;About anything and everything.&amp;nbsp; Worry weaves in and out of my thoughts all too often.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;I'm tring to remember if I felt this way when taking Wellbutrin and I don't remember.&amp;nbsp; But, I'm thinking about trying it again.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Yes, I know it is pointless to worry.&amp;nbsp; I am busy, exercise, done therapy (in the past) and know all the reasons it is a waste of time.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Still, I worry.&amp;nbsp; Is it aging? &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;While I hate to fall back to drugs, it does get exhausting.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1280"&gt;@Witchy Woman&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; Have you tried meditation. &amp;nbsp;I have taken MBSR (mind body stress reduction) for other reasons, but many have found relief from anxiety. &amp;nbsp;It is a bit pricey, but you can find a lot of free information and techniques online. &amp;nbsp;If interested, I can provide you with the doctor who was my teacher, &amp;nbsp;she had free instructional information on her website.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I am 64 and find myself worried and then very angry, about alot of things. and most times, there is nothing I can do about it. Never was like this in my early years---can get myself so riled up that it makes my heart and stomach act up. There is alot going on to be worried about given the current situation in the country, if you know what I mean---but hopefully things will change there soon. right now, when my brain goes into overdrive, I stop and use the 4-7-8 method of breathing for just 5 minutes and find it really helps, especially at night. Google that for more info. Drugs should be the very last line of defense.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;p.s.---witchy woman is one of my fav Eagles songs---&lt;img id="heart" class="emoticon emoticon-heart" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_heart.png" alt="Heart" title="Heart" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#993300"&gt;Yep, I’m going through this right now too. &amp;nbsp;I also have always been a worrier and have gone through periods that were bad. &amp;nbsp;In my case, I think it may be aging. &amp;nbsp;Having gone through the decline and eventual death of my parents many years ago and the death of my husband six months ago, I can’t now help but think about what happens to me when I get incapacitated. &amp;nbsp;And smaller things—what if the car breaks down while I’m shopping, or the water heater quits.       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/31152"&gt;@phoenixbrd&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Yes, please share your source of meditation.&amp;nbsp; I found free sessions through Fragrant Heart and that is my only experience, but I would welcome your suggestions.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;And Tai Chi ia is at the top of my list.&amp;nbsp; Are you self taught?&amp;nbsp; Follow a tape or YouTube videos?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;I have a couple Qigong tapes which I believe might be similar. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Of course, you have to DO THEM for them to work, right?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Don't laugh, but I tried yoga several times and got "sea sick" with many of the movements.&amp;nbsp; I do have a Pilates board and need to get back to that, too.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;In talking, it seems I've reminded myself of the things I should be doing in addition to those I already do.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It becomes harder to do things, physically and mentally. Takes more time and effort.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Most seniors are concerned re $ running out, health issues, independence, loneliness etc. I think it often comes with the territory. The issue is how much anxiety are you having.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Have you had a through physical exam recently? Rule out possible physical causes ie thyroid, anemia, clinical anxiety/depression.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Start seeing a therapist, NOW.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="4"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;My thoughts are with you, please don’t wait.......&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The best advice I can give you is what works for me as I am a worrier as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; I just stop... and think of all the things I am grateful for that are in my life... and give thanks...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then I think of all the good things COMING INTO MY LIFE&amp;nbsp; that are not yet here....... and give thanks for those things coming.....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Positive&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;affirmations basically... that make me look forward to all the good coming .. and see all the good&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; that is in my life in the present.....&amp;nbsp;that worrying tends to hide and cover up....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You must do this every time you feel worry&amp;nbsp; is becoming overwhelming.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just think GRATITUDE.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;I appreciate every suggestion offered.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Sometimes, it's just a comfort to know others are where we are. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;We've had a long stretch of rainy, warm, humid weather in Maryland, and I know that does not help me.&amp;nbsp; Being outside when the weather is nicer is something I enjoy.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Hearing the owls calling to each other late in the day is a sound I never get tired of.&amp;nbsp; I even enjoy hearing the crows.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;The sun is shining today so I'm off to drink it in.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Wishing everyone a wonderful, worry free day!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
