I've had it a few years and used to use it regularly but then I got out of it. I know I need to get back to it.

So after reading this, last night I asked my husband to get it back up and running. I have the WII Fit that I used to use and I wanted to get back into it. Well I found out the plug on the cord for the balance board got bent and I need to get a new one.

Since the weather is below zero and not looking better till the end of the week I don't think I'll be going out to get a new one anytime soon.

Maybe you can find just the cord on ebay?

Mine has been put away for probably at least a year or more, maybe two? Anyway, I got mine back out and I'm having a lot of fun again.

I'm using it on the days I'm not going to the fitness center. I forgot how fun it was.

If you are still using yours, good for you. If not, get it out and get healthy while having fun.

Oh, Walk It Out is my favorite game. I sure wish they would come out with a Walk It Out II.

Love my wii...but my puppy keeps trying to 'dance' with me while I'm using it. I think I need to crate her and get serious about it since I don't like exercising at all...the Wii makes it fun.

I even have a Rayman Rabbit (sp?) game where you can 'sled' down a mountain on a cow (sitting on the board), ride a surfboard through space, and other funny activities that make you giggle while getting some exercise in. the only one here to laugh at me is my dog, so it's okay.

There's also the new Wii U console that's out and a new Wii Fit U which includes a Wii Fit Meter that records your every step and change in elevation throughout the day. The new Wii U is a great little console that's been largely overlooked (largely due to Nintendo's total failure at markeitng it.) Super Mario 3D World is one of the best game I've ever played. Pikmin 3 is a blast. It's a great new system, but most of the population doesn't even know it exists. They're now rolling out a new Wii U Sports Club that lets you compete in tennis, bowling, golf with other players anywhere in the world. (Othere sports are also in the pipeline and soon to follow.) The Wii U also has a new piece of software called the Google Maps Street View ($4.99) that lets you walk the streets anywhere Google Maps has been using your Wii Balance Board.

Gardenman, that sounds like fun ... The Google maps idea. So, if I wanted to take a walk in New York I could? Interesting ... don't have wii but something I might consider. LM

Lilysmom. With the Google maps software and a Wii U and balance board you can walk pretty much anyplace in the world. You could pretty much walk around the world if you wanted. Now, it's not a pure one to one movement as you have to take multiple steps and then the image jumps ahead a bit, but it's pretty neat. They've also taken their Google maps equipment inside many museums, some malls/stores, etc. so you can walk around inside of them if you wish to. Just be forewarned, you're walking down the roads in cities as that's the route the Google mapping vehicles traveled and if you get antsy walking down the middle of the road in a busy city it may not be for you.
