My A1C was 6 last time and I am on what my nutritionist calls a low carbohydrate diet. I love Dr. Fung's recommendations about intermittant fasting. It really does work for me along with your suggestions about having dinner early. My blood sugar has never been better which means less insulin injections and fewer lows. Morning highs are a thing of the past.

I rarely if ever snack but I love Laughing Cow cheese wedges. Just one fills me up.

I just realized that I used to eat more snacks than I do now.

I'm pretty much 3 squares a day, haha, albeit a whole food plant based 3 squares. I just don't get that need for snacks these days.

But sometimes when I'm too busy to stop for lunch, I'll do the snack thing.

A few nuts (only raw, not roasted or salted) with an apple. I love walnuts and brazil nuts.

@BirkiLady reminded me that I LOVE sliced red bell pepper with hummus. I like classic hummus made with tahini, without vegetable oil added. I also like hummus on celery.

Pumpkins seeds and organic red grapes (the markets are full of the organic red grapes now and my favorite ones come from my local food co-op. I will mourn when the season is over!!!

Sometimes I will have some peanut butter on locally made from scratch the REAL way sourdough from a local bakery. FANTABULOUS!!!

Sometimes a bowl of local peaches (they have been really good this summer here! and blueberries).

And another lovely combo that is low in sugar, but high in fiber and nutrients, organic local strawberries and sliced kiwi. I like to put a few raw walnuts in there, too. DELISH!
