I probably will not go to an urgent care facility. I don't consider it an emergency or anything like that.. As long as it does not spread any more... I do have an appt for my wellness exam in mid September and then the dermatologist appt in mid October... Maybe the primary care physician will have some idea of what it is, but I kind of doubt it. She's not much of a doctor in my opinion, at least she wasn't when I saw her 2 years ago. I had to practically beg her to get a diabetes test scheduled... I also checked in the next town over for a dermatologist appt, they were booked until mid OCT too...

Make an appointment with your primary care physician. She or he may be able to expedite an appointment with a derm if it might be serious. If the primary care doctor thinks it could be pre-cancerous, you don't want to wait for October for a biopsy if you don't have to.

I've had almost every type of keratosis over the years - this looks like actinic keratosis. I'm sorry you have to wait so long to see the dermatogolist. They seem to be in short supply or overbooked everywhere. My former derm was a 6 month wait - drove me crazy so I found a new derm. hated to leave my old one but the long wait was too much plas once you get get in for the appointment it was usually another long wait sitting in his lobby - sometimes for up to 2 hours.
